JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Housekeeper / Laundress for a private luxury residence. This is a career-level household position intended for a seasoned professional who understands the standards, discretion, and accountability required in a high-end private home.

This role is not hotel housekeeping, not a cleaning job, and not suitable for candidates who require training on fundamentals. The ideal candidate already has hands-on experience working in luxury private residences and is confident managing a home to an elevated, estate-level standard.

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization, care, and presentation of the residence, with particular emphasis on advanced laundry, wardrobe care, and fine-detail execution. This position requires sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to ask questions when uncertain rather than making assumptions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, full-scope housekeeping of all interior living spaces; detailed cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, common areas, and storage spaces; and the proper care of fine furnishings, fixtures, and specialty surfaces such as stone, marble, wood, glass, and metal. Work must be thorough, consistent, and proactive, with no shortcuts or surface-level cleaning.

Advanced laundry and linen care is a critical function of this role. The candidate must have demonstrated experience handling luxury and designer clothing, including sorting by fabric and care requirements, reading and strictly following garment labels, laundering, folding, steaming, pressing, and proper storage. Correct product selection is essential. Bleach and harsh chemicals are not permitted. When uncertainty exists regarding a garment or item, the expectation is to stop and confirm before proceeding.

The role also includes maintaining household organization and established systems, ensuring closets, cabinets, drawers, and storage areas remain orderly and functional. The Executive Housekeeper is expected to proactively identify areas requiring attention and address them without constant direction, while respecting household preferences and protocols.

The household includes a dog. Candidates must be genuinely comfortable, confident, and positive around pets, with an understanding that pets are part of the household environment. This role requires more than tolerance; the ideal candidate is attentive, considerate, and able to work calmly and effectively in a home with a dog present.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional private household housekeeping experience (luxury or high-end residences preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with advanced laundry, linen care, and luxury wardrobe handling
• Comfortable and confident working in a home with pets
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test
• Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
• Strong reliability, professionalism, and discretion
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and ask questions when unsure
