Inside Their World:

A nurturing family is seeking a versatile and easygoing family assistant to join their household for the long term, support them in keeping a clear and organized home. The role primarily focuses on household support, with care for their 2-year-old son and 5-month-old daughter as the role grows.

Their 2-year-old, a brand new big brother, is full of energy and loves climbing, running, and his Little Gym lessons twice a week. He currently attends speech and occupational therapy to help him with his language development and emotion regulation.

Their 5-month-old daughter is a sweet baby girl who is growing and thriving each day. She is currently practicing tummy time and attends chiropractic appointments twice a week to support her reflux.

Family Environment: This is a warm, upbeat, and close knit family that is very involved in their children’s everyday lives. Mom is a hands on, attentive stay at home parent who is deeply present with the kids and brings a calm, thoughtful energy to the home. She enjoys reading, watching golf, and getting into a good documentary. Dad works from home in a separate office and is in and out of the house throughout the day. Together, they’ve created a consistent, intentional home where communication, trust, and follow through are important. As a family, they love spending quality time together and enjoy traveling each year, usually visiting the Phoenix area in March and beach destinations in November.

Who Thrives Here:

This role is ideal for someone with previous household management or family assistant experience who naturally understands the rhythm of a busy stay at home parent’s day and can intuitively step in to provide meaningful support. The ideal candidate recognizes where help is needed most, whether that means taking the lead on household tasks so mom can focus on time with the children, or confidently caring for the kids while mom attends to personal or household responsibilities. Organization and attention to detail are essential, particularly as the family has recently added additional living space to their home. This is a role for someone who creates calm in a full, active home, takes pride in maintaining an orderly environment, and brings a steady presence to the household. The family is seeking someone who is naturally proactive and intuitive, able to anticipate needs and step in without needing to be asked. A balance of warmth, professionalism, and easygoing confidence is key, along with strong follow-through and clear communication.

When engaging with the children, the ideal candidate is playful, energetic, and genuinely enjoys being present with them. Someone who can actively play, keep up with a toddler, and thoughtfully guide children with boundaries will thrive in this role.  They are seeking someone who is looking for longevity and truly wants to become an extension of the family.

Daily Rhythm:

The focus is on supporting the day to day flow of family life through hands-on household support (80%) and child related care (20%). Responsibilities include managing family laundry and dishes, keeping shared spaces tidy and organized, maintaining household inventory, ordering and stocking groceries and supplies, running errands, and handling light meal prep. The childcare aspect of the role includes creating and planning age-appropriate activities, sanitizing bottles, keeping children’s rooms and play areas tidy and emptying the diaper pail. The role will also assist with coordinating and organizing a move into a newly constructed area of the home, ensuring spaces are set up efficiently and thoughtfully. The family has two Golden Retriever puppies who recently joined them, and pet care is a part of the role.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Previous experience as a family assistant or household manager
  • Flexible & organized
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
  • Pet friendly. The family just adopted 2 Golden Retriever puppies.
