ORGANIZED + HANDS-ON LEAD NANNY NEEDED FOR FAMILY IN BETHESDA, MD

Location: Bethesda, MD, 20817

Children: 2-year-old & 3.5-month-old

Compensation: $35-$45+/hr

Schedule: 41 guaranteed hrs/week. Mon & Fri, 8 am to 1:30 pm & Tue to Thur, 8 am to 6 pm. Flexibility to accommodate 10-hour shifts on Mon/Fri is appreciated.

Benefits: 3 days of paid sick time, 10 days of PTO, paid major holidays, a healthcare stipend, a continuing education stipend, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for on-the-job travel if needed.

A nurturing and highly organized family is looking for a lead nanny to partner with them as they raise their 2-year-old and 3.5-month-old daughters. In the beginning, the nanny will focus primarily on the toddler while an 8-week contract co-nanny supports the baby. Over time, the role will transition into caring for both children as the family settles into their long-term rhythm.

Their energetic 2-year-old is an active, imaginative, and easygoing little girl. She loves spending time outside, whether it’s going on walks or visiting new parks, and she’s always ready to play. She also enjoys doing crafts, playing with Play-Doh and beads, and building with Magna Tiles, creating houses and making up stories about them.

Their sweet 3.5-month-old daughter is beginning to roll over and is bottle-fed every three hours. She follows a structured yet flexible routine with cues that guide her day.

Daily Rhythm: 

Initially, you will be responsible for providing attentive, nurturing care for their toddler, supporting their routines and development, and gradually transitioning into care for both kids. You will prepare bottles and toddler meals, change diapers, provide sick care if needed, and plan fun, educational, age-appropriate activities. Additional duties include tidying children's areas, diaper bags and strollers, re-stocking baby and toddler supplies, emptying the diaper pail, children’s laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, washing bottles, and sharing photos with the parents throughout the day.

Qualifications: 

• 5 years of professional childcare experience
• Flexible to accommodate extra hours or overnight shifts and occasional travel
• Collaborative and comfortable working alongside a co-nanny
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
• Pet-friendly. The family has a friendly 23 lb Cockapoo.

This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law.
