Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (approximately 40 hours per week)
 
Compensation: 
- $20-$24 per hour (W-2 employment)

Family Overview:
A welcoming and growing family in Edmond, Oklahoma is seeking a reliable and nurturing nanny to support their household as they prepare to welcome a newborn in March 2026.
The role will include morning care for a 5-year-old child, including helping with the morning routine and school drop-off, followed by primary care for the newborn during the remainder of the day.
 
The ideal candidate is dependable, calm, and confident caring for infants, with the ability to maintain a structured and supportive environment for both children. The family values someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable assisting with light child-related household tasks during nap times.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare responsibilities:
- Assist with morning routine of the 5-year old including getting dressed and ready for school
- Serve breakfast and assist with packing lunch
- Handle drop off to to school (approximately 10 minutes away) using the family-provided vehicle
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the newborn
- Bottle preparation, feedings, diapering, and soothing
- Beginning in August 2026, transport the baby to the mother’s workplace once per day (20 minute drive) to allow for breastfeeding visits

- Establish and maintain healthy sleep and nap routines
- Monitor developmental milestones and provide nurturing, responsive care
 
Light Household Support (Child-Related)
- Children’s laundry (washing, folding, organizing)
- Tidying children’s bedrooms and play areas
- Light kitchen tasks such as dishes
- Online grocery ordering for the household
- Maintaining a tidy and organized environment related to the children
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding daily activities, developmental progress, and any concerns
- Ensure the children’s safety, supervision, and overall well-being at all times
- Support a calm, nurturing, and structured home environment

- Highly experienced in caring for multiple children, including newborns
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to childcare
- Punctual, organized, and reliable, able to manage both childcare and household-related tasks efficiently
- Solutions-focused, proactive, and confident in making thoughtful decisions independently while collaborating effectively with parents
- Adaptable and flexible as duties and daily routines naturally evolve with the children’s development, including the changing needs of a newborn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, providing clear updates and guidance to parents
- Attentive to child safety and well-being, including first aid and maintaining a healthy environment
- Supports age-appropriate developmental milestones and engages children in educational and enrichment activities
- Safe and responsible driver with clean driving record
- Comfortable documenting daily activities, routines, and updates for parents
- Committed to a long-term placement to ensure stability and continuity for the children
 
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–4 years of professional childcare experience, including at least 1 year in a private home caring for multiple children or families
- Minimum of 1 year of newborn/infant care experience required
- Able to provide at least 2 professional references from private home childcare experience
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Minimum age: 21 years old
- Non-smoker
- Fully vaccinated
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to successfully pass an extensive criminal background check and drug screening upon hiring
- Willing to commit to at least 1 year for long-term employment
