Wonderful Mill Valley Family Seeks Family Assistant

We are representing a busy family of five plus a beloved Bernedoodle. They are seeking a proactive Family Assistant to help their household run smoothly. Their ideal candidate is someone who is easy to be around, anticipates needs, and can divide and conquer coordination with active support for three children (ages 12 and almost 10 year old twins).

After 10 years with their previous nanny, they are looking for a new long-term partner to be part of the family to help with the daily flow: from afternoon sports transitions to simple, healthy family dinners.

• Work Environment: A supportive, active home with a good vibes atmosphere.

Experience Requirements

2 or more years of experience working in a private home with great references. Clean driving record

Educational Requirements

Fluency in English

Qualifications

• Must have a dependable car for errands and school pickups (mileage/gas will be reimbursed).

• Genuinely enjoy engaging with middle-school aged kids who are very easy going.

• The family offers guaranteed hours, even during the summer when the family is away. They seek a professional who values that stability.

• While this is a live-out position, the ability to stay overnight (in a private space above the garage) roughly twice a year for long weekends is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing simple, healthy family dinners (e.g., a protein and vegetable). No gourmet skills required—just a reliable cook who can keep the family fueled.

• Picking up children (usually 1 or 2) from school in Corte Madera and driving to various sports (baseball, tennis, surfing, soccer).

• Handling grocery shopping, dry cleaning runs, and meeting with household vendors like the gardener.

• Light tidying and managing the kids’ laundry

• Looking after the dog (feeding, walks, and occasional dog sitting)
