This warm and welcoming Noe Valley family is seeking a nurturing, experienced, bilingual Spanish/English nanny to join their team beginning around June 22nd. The primary focus of this role will be caring for their sweet baby, who will be about 5 months old and is already finding a good routine, and absolutely adores watching big sister! The family also has a lively and engaging 3-year-old daughter who attends a Spanish immersion preschool full-time Monday through Friday. Care for the older child will be needed, including some school drop offs and pick ups throughout the week, and care when she is home from school. She is active and curious and thrives on getting out and about! Trips to the park, neighborhood outings, and exploring local kid-friendly spots are right up her alley. This role is centered on supporting the infant’s daily routine and developmental milestones, although candidates should feel confident to manage both children when needed. Speaking Spanish with the children is an important part of the position, as the family values continued language development in a natural, immersive way. Child-related responsibilities include children’s laundry, preparing simple meals and snacks, tidying play areas and bedrooms, organizing children’s belongings, and cleaning up after meals, including wiping surfaces and sweeping under the high chair. Support with parents’ laundry would be a lovely bonus, though it is not required. The family is hoping to find someone experienced, proactive, and confident in caring for both infants and young children, someone warm, engaging, and communicative. Preference would be given to a candidate who is open to occasional travel, date nights, or a few overnights per year, though this is not a requirement.
Mom and dad both work hybrid schedules and often work from home from designated workspaces. They value a collaborative, communicative relationship with their nanny and are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team to establish and maintain consistent routines. Their ideal candidate is knowledgeable about infant development, genuinely enjoys the day-to-day rhythms of life with young children, and is familiar with local activities and outings in San Francisco.
This family lives in the heart of Noe Valley, within easy walking distance of parks, neighborhood activities, and their preschool. There is street parking available and parking is simple most of the time. They are well connected to public transportation, including nearby bus lines and BART, and strongly prefer that the nanny take the children out and about using public transit or walking. There is a walk up entry to their two floor home. On the first floor you will find the kitchen, living room, dining room, primary bedroom and bathroom. There is plenty of natural light and designated play areas. Upstairs there are the children’s rooms and a bathroom. They also have a large fenced backyard!
This family is looking for a long-term fit, someone who is interested in becoming a trusted and valued part of their family for the next couple of years.
