Inside Their World:
A loving and nurturing family is seeking a steady, well-rounded nanny to care for their two youngest boys, ages 4, and 1, and help manage their home. They will also need support caring for their 5-year-old daughter twice a week.
Their 5.5-year-old is a sassy, mama bear, sweet little girl, who can be shy sometimes until she warms up. She loves playing with her brothers, doing art projects, going outside, or just hanging out, and watching TV. She is in Jr. Kindergarten on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so she would just be home on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Their 4-year-old is a spirited, energetic child with a big personality. He is imaginative, playful, and thrives on interactive activities like outdoor play, art projects, and pretend games. He is both sweet and sensitive, and always full of energy. He does have a soy allergy, which is well-managed within the home.
Their 1-year-old is an easygoing, curious little one who loves to explore his surroundings. He enjoys climbing, playing, and engaging with his siblings, and is very much in the “everything goes in the mouth” stage. He has food allergies and requires attentive care, including following established routines around hygiene, meals, and daily medications. The family will provide thorough instructions and support to ensure you feel confident and comfortable managing his care.
There is one additional child in the home, aged 17. They are fully independent and do not require any care. He will only be there from June 2026 to mid-August 2026.
Family Environment:
Mom and Dad describe their parenting style as open, honest, and communicative. They prioritize building a relationship with their children rooted in trust. This includes preparing their children for real life experiences in an age-appropriate way, whether it’s talking through an upcoming doctor’s appointment or helping them understand the world around them.
While they foster openness, they also maintain clear expectations and boundaries while raising children who feel both supported and guided. Their goal is to create an environment where their children feel safe coming to them with anything. They are thoughtful about how their children learn about the world, preferring to introduce topics themselves and encourage independent thinking, rather than outside influences shaping those perspectives first.
As a family, they enjoy spending time together. From cozy movie nights to arts and crafts, spontaneous outings, or simple everyday adventures like walks, bowling, or shopping.
Who Thrives Here:
The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and highly detail oriented, with the ability to confidently follow structured routines and directions. Given the children’s care needs, this role is best suited for someone who is comfortable managing schedules that include medications and supplements, and who can carefully adhere to established guidelines and dietary restrictions. Previous experience supporting a child with medical or dietary needs is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with the use of an EpiPen.
The family is seeking a steady and emotionally grounded nanny who brings both warmth and good judgment to the role. Someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly and respectfully, and naturally supports the flow of the household will thrive in this position. Their ideal candidate possesses the ability to notice details, anticipate needs, and help carry the day-to-day essentials.
The home is fragrance conscious, and the family will provide specific laundry detergent. The nanny should be comfortable avoiding scented lotions, perfumes, and similar products while in the home.
Daily Rhythm:
In this role, you will provide hands-on support in the children’s daily routines and overall well being, and support household tasks. This includes planning engaging, age appropriate activities, helping maintain a clean and organized environment by tidying children’s spaces, managing meal and snack preparation ranging from simple to more involved cooking, and handling related clean up, including loading and unloading the dishwasher. Responsibilities also include preparing bottles and properly washing and sterilizing them. Throughout the day, you will keep parents connected and informed by sharing regular updates and photos. The role also involves light household coordination and support, such as maintaining a family calendar, running occasional errands, and assisting with personal assistant tasks to help keep the home operating smoothly.
Qualifications:
This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law.
At this stage, we cannot provide any additional information about this position other than what has already been provided in the job description.
