Traveling Savvy Nanny/ Family Assistant Needed in Presidio Heights

A family in Presidio Heights is seeking a full-time nanny / family assistant to care for their two children (girl 6, boy 5).

Candidates should be willing and flexible to travel as the family spends the summer in NY (separate accommodations provided), as well as international travel in Europe for a few weeks. Throughout the year the family enjoys traveling to the South Pacific. Someone who is playful and loves exploring would be a great fit for this family as they like to stay busy and keep on the move.

Parents enjoy being hands-on with the kids, both working from home. They are seeking a self starter nanny who will partner with them and enjoy the parents company when they are around.

Kids are busy at school during the day and creative after school activities. The family is looking for a candidate who can easily engage with the children and help transition them through the evening routine after their busy day.

Responsibilities include driving the children, picking them up from school and taking them to activities, light tidying (child related), help with evening routine, and pitching in and helping the rest of household staff where needed. The childcare duties will be more engaging during times of travel. A candidate who is flexible to work longer hours during travel periods is ideal.

The best person for them is someone with an active, healthy lifestyle and has excellent communication. Enjoys travel and adventure, and can gel with a busy but easy going happy household.

A household vehicle for work-related driving will be provided.

Schedule:
Tuesday- Friday 4pm-8pm
Weekends: Saturday 8am-12pm; Sunday 12pm-8pm
Additional hours offered and some flexibility in schedule

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

• CPR Certified
• Clean driver, valid driver with clean record (family can provide vehicle for work-related driving)
• Comfortable around dogs (pet care not required but this person should enjoy their company too)
• Excellent and efficient communication
• Must be an excellent swimmer

• Can make at least a year commitment
• Think ahead and be proactive for children’s needs

Responsibilities

• Caring for and supervising children
• Read stories, help with bath time
• Engaging children in stimulating and fun activities during downtime
• Prepare luggage for trips for the children
• Driving and picking up/ dropping off children from school and activities
• Prepare children’s back packs for the next day
• Prepare an afternoon snack for the children
