Inside Their World:

An active and structured family is seeking a highly capable, organized nanny/household manager to join them long-term and take ownership of both childcare and the day-to-day flow of the home.

Their 10-year-old daughter is bright, driven, and naturally outgoing. She enjoys a wide range of sports, including soccer, lacrosse, basketball, skiing, and golf, along with academic interests such as Russian Math. She has dyslexia, and the family would value someone who can confidently and patiently support her with schoolwork when needed.

Their 5-year-old son is thoughtful, energetic, and well-balanced. He shares many of his sister’s athletic interests, including hockey, soccer, lacrosse, skiing, and golf, and also enjoys quieter activities such as reading, math, and piano. He is a sensory eater, and will benefit from a patient, consistent, and steady approach to mealtimes.

Both children are academically advanced, curious, and active. The right candidate will support their growth while maintaining structure, consistency, and follow-through in their daily routines.

Family Environment:

This is a home that values structure, accountability, and a strong sense of rhythm. The parents prioritize raising independent, respectful, and grounded children, and appreciate a caregiver who aligns with that approach without needing close oversight.

Mom works outside of the home, while Dad maintains a flexible schedule between home and office. The household is supported by a weekly cleaning service and landscapers, allowing this role to focus on maintaining organization and ensuring the home runs smoothly on a daily basis.

The family enjoys an active lifestyle, including sports, travel, outdoor time, and educational experiences. They are members of a country club and are especially active during the summer months.

They value discretion, privacy, and a calm, well run environment.

Who Thrives Here:

This role is best suited for a calm, self directed professional who takes ownership without needing ongoing instruction. The right candidate is observant, efficient, and grounded, with the ability to step into a home, understand its rhythm, and quietly keep everything on track. Must be highly organized and consistent, naturally staying on top of details such as schedules, schoolwork, and household needs. Anticipate what is needed next and handle it without requiring frequent direction. You will engage thoughtfully, encourage independence, and support both structure and creativity without overwhelming the environment. You are emotionally steady, receptive to feedback, communicate clearly, and respect boundaries.

Daily Rhythm:

In this role, you will support the children’s routines and development while maintaining organization across the home.

Responsibilities include planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities, coordinating playdates, supporting schoolwork, encouraging healthy eating habits, and safely transporting the children to and from school, activities, and appointments.

From a household management perspective, you will maintain organization in shared spaces, manage schedules and logistics, coordinate with vendors, run errands, handle grocery shopping, prepare and cook healthy dinners, assist with children’s clothing and seasonal organization, and support the overall day to day flow of the home.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Previous household management experience
  • Higher education background preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable, insured vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Comfortable swimming and supervising children near water
  • Pet friendly (the family has two senior Cavalier King Charles Spaniels)
