Experienced Play-Based Newborn Nanny Needed FT in Cow Hollow

A warm and busy family in Cow Hollow, with two working parents, is seeking an experienced, mature, and highly reliable nanny to care for their baby girl, who will be 5 months old in July. Their ideal candidate is nurturing, focused on development, and looking to build a long-term relationship with a family. Responsibilities include researching and scheduling age-appropriate classes, engaging at baby’s level, preparing bottles and baby-friendly meals, child laundry, and light tidying. The best person for them is someone familiar with child-led play and/or the Montessori method, who has longevity with their past employers and is looking for long term commitment again where they can grow with the family.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with newborns
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English

Qualifications

  • COVID-vaccinated
  • TB, Flu, and Tdap
  • CPR Certified
  • Non-smoker
  • Valid driver with clean record (family provides household vehicle for work-related driving)
  • Experienced with newborns
  • Flexible and willing to travel (1-2 times per year; trips could be 7-10 days domestic or international)
  • Must be living in SF or nearby
  • Longevity with past families (at least 3 years)
  • Educational; enjoys seeking out age-appropriate classes
  • Familiar with play-based learning (Montessori)
  • Mature, loving
  • Punctual, reliable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can make long term commitment; looking for someone to grow with the family

Responsibilities

  • Creating a routine and schedule for the baby
  • Engaging in play (reading, singing, conversing with baby)
  • Planning age appropriate activities, classes, and outings
  • Driving to activities
  • Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
  • Prepare baby-friendly meals
  • Assisting with developmental milestones and transitions (solids, naps, potty training, etc.)
  • Child laundry
  • Light tidying (nursery, play and common areas)
