Inside Their World:
A thoughtful, warm, and highly knowledgeable family is preparing to welcome their second child and is seeking a skilled Postpartum Doula or Newborn Care Specialist to support Mom during the transition into life with two children.
Mom has a strong, evidence based approach to care. While she feels confident caring for her newborn, her focus this time is different. With her first child, she found that her own recovery and breastfeeding journey were significantly impacted by a lack of support. This time, she is intentionally prioritizing her health, healing, and overall well-being.
Their older child (20 months) is already supported by a wonderful full-time Pink Nanny, allowing this role to remain fully centered on Mom and their newborn.
Family Environment:
After a wonderful experience with their previous Pink Nanny, this family is excited to welcome another exceptional caregiver as they begin a new chapter with baby number two. They are affectionate, appreciative, and value a calm, welcoming home environment. As a family, they enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with extended family. There will typically be another adult in and out of the home, and the household is already well supported. This role is all about providing attentive and caring support for both Mom and the baby, filling a very specific and important gap.
Who Thrives Here:
The right candidate is experienced, grounded, and deeply attuned to postpartum care. They are steady, respectful of the family’s space and boundaries, and intuitive in their approach, capable of anticipating needs before they arise. They are discreet and emotionally intelligent, gentle yet efficient, reliable and consistent, and supportive without overstepping. They bring confidence in postpartum recovery and lactation support, and understand how to care for the mother just as much as the baby.
Daily Rhythm:
This role follows a flexible, supportive rhythm centered around Mom’s recovery and the newborn’s needs, rather than a rigid, structured schedule. A typical day may include preparing nourishing meals or snacks for Mom, offering breastfeeding and lactation support, assisting with newborn care as needed, and maintaining a calm, organized environment that promotes rest and healing. The ideal candidate will be intuitive and proactive, stepping in where needed while also recognizing when to give Mom space. Responsibilities may shift day to day depending on how Mom is feeling, how feeding is progressing, and the evolving needs of both Mom and baby.
Qualifications:
This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law.
At this stage, we cannot provide any additional information about this position other than what has already been provided in the job description.
Due to the high volume of candidates, we will only contact you if the family is interested in meeting you or if we need additional information.
