A warm, professional family in San Francisco is seeking an experienced, nurturing full-time nanny to care for their two-month-old daughter. This is a meaningful, long-term opportunity for an attentive caregiver who is knowledgeable about newborn care, passionate about early childhood development, and holds a certification or degree in early education.
The baby is a typical two-month-old girl who is settling into a routine. She is most comfortable when someone is close and loves when the adults around her are engaged with her! The family is looking for a nanny who is patient, nurturing, and emotionally attuned; someone who can balance supporting her through developmental milestones while being able to give her space to figure things out. Montessori training or familiarity with similar methods is ideal. Encouraging age-appropriate exploration and learning as she grows will be an important part of this role.
Both parents are detail-oriented and driven. At least one of them will be working from home most days. While they will be working from an enclosed home office, they enjoy being in shared living areas throughout the day to visit with the baby. They value a collaborative and respectful relationship with their nanny and are looking for someone who is confident working independently while also communicating openly as part of a team. Their goal is to create a home environment where their daughter feels safe, supported, and deeply cared for. The family hopes that candidates will have some flexibility with schedule and
The ideal candidate shares the parents’ attention to detail, is proactive, and brings a strong foundation in early childhood education or child development. They should feel confident taking the initiative in planning developmentally appropriate activities while maintaining a calm and organized environment.
Child-related responsibilities include maintaining feeding and sleep routines, washing and sterilizing bottles, managing baby laundry, and keeping the baby’s spaces clean and well-organized.
This family is hoping to find a long-term fit, someone who is interested in growing with them over the coming years. They plan to expand their family and this role may transition into caring for a second newborn in the future. They are seeking a steady and reliable presence who is excited to become a trusted part of their household. In the longer term, there is an opportunity for this position to grow into a family assistant role with household support such as light cleaning and meal preparation.
The family has a small ragdoll cat, so candidates should be comfortable around cats.
They live in the Mission neighborhood, with a lot of activities within walking distance, and street parking is available. On the main floor of their two-story apartment are the bedrooms, kitchen, dining, and living room. The nursery is set up with various play stations for tummy time and has a cozy rocking chair perfect for reading books or rocking her to sleep. Upstairs are a home office and a second area set up for the baby with a changing area, sleeping area, and rocking chair.
