Position Overview

Hello Nanny! is partnering with a professional family in Brookhaven, GA, seeking a reliable and nurturing Evening Nanny / Family Assistant to provide support during the most active part of the day—dinner and bedtime.

This role is centered around being an additional set of hands to help create a calm, structured, and positive evening environment. Responsibilities include engaging with the family’s energetic 6-year-old, assisting with dinner and cleanup, and supporting the overall flow of the household while one parent focuses on the infant’s bedtime routine.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare:

  • Engage and play with the 6-year-old child during evening hours
  • Provide support during dinner and bedtime routines
  • Assist one parent by caring for the older child while the other manages the infant’s bedtime
  • Create a calm, positive, and structured environment during busy transitions

Household Support:

  • Assist with dinner cleanup and kitchen tidying
  • General household reset after dinner (light cleaning, organizing common areas)
  • Tidy up toys and children’s areas after bedtime (typically around 8:00 PM)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Calm, kind, and engaging childcare professional with the ability to confidently support a busy evening routine
  • Previous experience caring for both infants and school-age children
  • Strong ability to manage evening routines with patience, structure, and consistency
  • Reliable and dependable with flexibility for an as-needed schedule

Professional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience caring for both infants and school-age children
  • CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • High school diploma required; college preferred
  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Fully vaccinated 
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
  • Non-smoker
  • Able to pass an extensive background check
  • Able to provide professional references from the past 3–5 years
  • Committed to a minimum 1-year placement for long-term employment
  • Legal U.S. work authorization required
  • Comfortable assisting with household management tasks as needed
