Job Details
Our client located in Deephaven is seeking a long-term, professional nanny to provide dedicated care for their 13-month-old. This is a sole charge childcare position with a strong emphasis on early childhood development, ideal for a candidate who brings both hands-on experience and an education-based approach to childcare.

The nanny will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a consistent daily routine while creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally rich environment. The role centers on planning and leading age-appropriate activities that support physical, cognitive, and emotional growth, with a focus on curiosity, exploration, and early learning.  A daily nanny journal will be maintained to note meals, activities, milestones, and key developmental observations.

In addition to childcare, the nanny will oversee the child’s laundry, prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child, and ensure all child-related spaces are maintained, organized, including play areas and nursery spaces. A vehicle is provided for use during working hours, supporting outings and classes.

The client places a high value on candidates with a background in early childhood education and professional nanny experience, someone who can confidently apply their knowledge and experience to support the child’s growth, learning, and overall development.
Hours are guaranteed at 40 per week, with the option of a Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Occasional additional hours may be requested for date nights. The parents work from home in a dedicated office space and are typically not engaged in daytime care, though may be intermittently available as needed. Wonderful long-term opportunity. 

Requirements:
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional nanny experience, with recent toddler experience
• College degree in Early Childhood Education or related field strongly preferred
• Strong, working knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate milestones
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent childcare references
