Inside Their World:

This is a thoughtful, structured household seeking a high level nanny/family assistant who can step in with confidence, take ownership of the day-to-day flow, and keep the home running smoothly with consistency, strong judgment, and alignment with the parents.

Their oldest child is 8 years old and is outgoing, curious, and naturally adventurous. He enjoys tennis, swimming, outdoor activities, and trying new things, and he thrives with structure and engagement as he transitions into a new school this fall.

Their 6-year-old daughter is observant, creative, and sensitive. She gravitates toward imaginative play, art, music, and meaningful connection, and does best with someone who can balance warmth with clear guidance and consistency. She will also transition to a new school in the fall.

Their youngest is a 21-month-old toddler who is active, strong-willed, and full of personality. She enjoys outdoor play, music, and hands-on activities. She has a strong routine in place, is a great sleeper, and will be beginning potty training soon. The family uses cloth diapers at home and is looking for someone who can confidently follow and support their established systems. In addition, she will be attending preschool part time starting in September.

This is a home that runs best with intention, rhythm, and someone who can naturally step in, think ahead, and keep things moving with ease.

Family Environment:

Mom and Dad are thoughtful, high functioning parents who follow a “Good Inside,” authoritative yet deeply intentional approach to raising their children. They prioritize emotional awareness, helping each child feel seen and valued while also maintaining clear routines, structure, and boundaries within the home. They are looking for a nanny who can step into this dynamic with confidence, align with their parenting philosophy, and carry it out consistently in day-to-day care. This requires someone who can balance warmth with structure, and who understands how to reinforce expectations while supporting the children’s emotional development. They aim for a home that is as organized, calm, and thoughtfully run as is possible with three young children. Both parents work in and outside of the home and may travel at times, so they value someone who can maintain consistency and keep things moving seamlessly in their absence.

As a family, they enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, swimming, playing golf, and visiting extended family in Montana. Travel is not a requirement of the role, but willingness to accompany the family on trips is a strong plus.

Who Thrives Here:

The ideal candidate can walk into a home like this and quickly understand how it needs to run. They are intuitive, efficient, and composed, able to anticipate needs, make thoughtful decisions independently while keeping open communication with the parents, and maintain consistency throughout the day. They are reliable, discreet, and highly organized, with strong judgment and a natural ability to take initiative while still aligning with the family’s parenting approach. They maintain clear professional boundaries and operate with a high level of respect for the household. They are flexible when needed, whether that means adjusting their schedule, stepping in for extended coverage during travel, or confidently handing off care when grandparents are present, all while keeping the day running smoothly. At the same time, they are able to enthusiastically engage in active play or messy activities with the kids, supporting a warm, nurturing and child-friendly environment in the home. They will be trusted, respected, and valued for the level of ownership and consistency they bring to the home.

This is ideal for someone who takes pride in running a home well and will be valued for the level of ownership and consistency they bring.

Daily Rhythm:

This is a hybrid role, centered around both attentive childcare and keeping the home running with structure and consistency. The right candidate will confidently manage the flow of the day, ensuring routines are followed, transitions are smooth, and the household operates efficiently.

On the childcare side, responsibilities include planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings, safely transporting the children to and from school and activities, preparing meals and snacks, and supporting daily routines. This also includes diapering (including cloth diaper use at home), maintaining diapering systems, and providing sick care when needed.

On the household side, responsibilities include maintaining organization throughout the home (not deep cleaning), managing household inventory and ordering supplies, grocery shopping, coordinating and overseeing vendors, and supporting travel preparation through packing and unpacking. The nanny will also handle household laundry, run errands, and keep parents informed with thoughtful updates and photos throughout the day.

This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between childcare and household responsibilities while maintaining a steady rhythm and a high level of follow-through.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Previous experience as a family assistant
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
  • Valid passport to travel domestically and internationally, if needed
  • Ability to swim and be comfortable caring for children near and in water is a plus
  • CPR & First Aid certified
  • Current on standard vaccinations is preferred
  • Pet-friendly. The family has a Ragdoll cat.
