EXPERIENCED AND SAFETY-CONSCIOUS NANNY/TUTOR NEEDED FOR A WELL-SUPPORTED FAMILY IN MCLEAN, VA

Location: McLean, VA, 22102

Children: 5-year-old

Compensation: $40-$45+/hr

Schedule: 35 guaranteed hrs/week. This is a 12-week contract. Monday to Friday from 9 pm to 4 pm or 10 am to 5 pm, based on the candidate’s preference.

Benefits: 3 days of paid sick time, paid major holidays, and use of a family vehicle for on-the-job travel.

Daily Rhythm: 

In this role, the nanny’s responsibility will primarily focus on providing attentive, nurturing care for their 5-year-old daughter and supporting her education and development. The day-to-day duties include providing educational assistance, reinforcing consistent hygiene and self-care habits, preparing simple healthy snacks, coming up with fun, educational, age-appropriate activities and outings, and actively engaging with their daughter. In addition, the nanny may be responsible for driving the child to activities/appointments while Mom or another family member is present. A thoughtful, proactive approach is key, creating a structured yet warm environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and confidence.

Qualifications: 

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
• Ability to swim and be comfortable caring for children near and in water is a requirement. 

This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law.
