• Location: Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, NY
• Ages of children: 4 and 2  years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Tuesday through Friday 8:00am to 6:30pm or 7:00pm, and 1 extended night coverage generally until 10:00pm. The schedule may change in the fall, and the family is open to collaborating with the nanny to create an ideal schedule.
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 45-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation in the $98,800-$111,150/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance reimbursement/stipend, and a monthly MetroCard.

• This warm, thoughtful family is seeking a nanny/family assistant to support their two young children and assist with the smooth day-to-day flow of their home. The family has two bright, active young daughters, ages 4 and 2. Their older child currently attends school full-time, and their younger child will begin a school program in the fall. The nanny/family assistant will play an important role in supporting the children’s routines, development, and overall well-being while fostering a warm, engaging, and structured environment for them to grow and thrive. The family also has a gentle dog who is hypoallergenic and very much part of the family.
• Both parents work from home and value a nanny who can confidently navigate that dynamic with professionalism, autonomy, and clear communication. They especially described themselves as community-oriented, structured, fun, and travel-loving! The family enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally, including regular trips to Europe and California throughout the year, and would love a nanny who is comfortable traveling alongside them. Their home is collaborative and team-oriented, with a housekeeper supporting the family two to three times per week. While childcare is the primary focus, the role will naturally evolve to include more family assistant responsibilities as both children transition into school schedules in the fall. The family is hoping to meet someone who can grow with them over time and become a trusted, collaborative partner.

• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to healthy meal and snacks prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines and escorting children to after-school activities, assisting with bathing and bedtime routines, supporting developmental milestones, planning and coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal planning and preparation, managing laundry, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has family assistant experience and child development knowledge, and is able to swim and care for children in water.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers and elementary-aged children
• Valid passport
• Travel experience
• Ability to travel with the family throughout the year
• Dog friendly!
• Within a commutable distance of Brooklyn, New York
• Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
