Inside Their World:
A warm, well-supported international family is looking for a highly flexible, go with the flow nanny to join them for a 16-week contract and take full charge of their 5-year-old’s day-to-day responsibilities while Mom is in the later stages of pregnancy. Mom will be home and present, but due to being 8 months pregnant, the caregiver will largely be responsible for managing the child’s routine
Their 5-year-old daughter is a warm, social child with a natural curiosity and a playful spirit. She loves fashion and dressing up, enjoys creative time through art, and stays active with swimming and imaginative play in her kitchen set. Full of energy and kind-natured, she thrives in engaging environments and a variety of activities. The family would value a nanny who can gently support and expand her social development, creating opportunities for connection, confidence, and peer interaction.
While their beloved second child will arrive in mid-August, the nanny will not be responsible for any newborn care.
Family Environment:
Mom and Dad prioritize a household built on a hands-on approach and a stimulating and safe environment for their child. They adhere to the gentle parenting style, allowing space for their child’s autonomy and encouraging age-appropriate decision making guided by her interests. In their free time, the family loves exploring nature and participating in outdoor activities like hiking. They also value slower moments at home, like watching movies, as well as getting out to enjoy meals, traveling, and swimming. They are welcoming, intentional parents who encourage an active, educationally and interculturally rich, and happy family life.
Who Thrives Here:
Ideal for an energetic, fun individual who is eager to actively engage in play with their child and is intentional about creating enriching activities. They are polished and attentive to safety and hygiene, thoughtfully reinforcing daily habits like handwashing and teeth brushing. A strong role model, this individual approaches discipline with patience and warmth, aligning with a gentle parenting style while maintaining clear, age-appropriate communication. They understand that no screen time is permitted in the home unless pre-approved by Mom and are comfortable consistently reinforcing this boundary. Someone friendly, polite, and respectful, who is open-minded and culturally aware, capable of supporting their daughter’s education and development. This individual creates a positive, structured, and educational stimulating environment that fosters learning and supports their daughter’s growth. They bring relevant experience, maturity, and reliability, and are comfortable partnering closely with hands-on parents. With Mom present in the home, they move with discretion and professionalism, integrating seamlessly into the household while maintaining clear boundaries and respect for the family’s dynamic. This is a fully staffed home, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a team-oriented environment and communicating effectively.
Daily Rhythm:
In this role, the nanny’s responsibility will primarily focus on providing attentive, nurturing care for their 5-year-old daughter and supporting her routine, education and development. The day-to-day duties include handling the child’s routine, including wake-ups, activities, meals, bathing, and bedtime, providing educational assistance, reinforcing consistent hygiene and self-care habits, preparing simple healthy snacks, coming up with fun, educational, age-appropriate activities and outings, and actively engaging with their daughter. In addition, the nanny may be responsible for driving the child to activities/appointments while Mom or another family member is present. A thoughtful, proactive approach is key, creating a structured yet warm environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and confidence.
