Job Details
We are conducting a nationwide search for an elite, career Newborn Care Specialist to support our client located in Wayzata as they welcome their newborn. Please note, active newborn care certification is a non-negotiable requirement for this role. This five-month assignment begins in mid-August 2026 and requires a professional who is confident providing attentive overnight newborn care while partnering collaboratively with the family’s daytime nanny to ensure consistency in routines and communication.

Responsibilities include overnight feeding, diapering, soothing, bottle preparation and sterilization, maintaining detailed overnight logs, supporting healthy sleep, and feeding routines, nursery organization, and infant laundry. This is a dedicated overnight care role requiring the NCS to remain attentive and available throughout the shift to actively support the infant’s needs.

Please Note:

  • The family will provide private live-in accommodations within the main residence.
  • A vehicle will be provided for the Newborn Care Specialist’s personal use during the assignment.
  • Travel assistance may be provided for the selected candidate, if applicable.
  • This role will include scheduled shifts over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday periods, with compensation structured to reflect full holiday coverage.
  • This is a W-2 household employment position. The Newborn Care Specialist will be legally employed and paid through a household payroll service in full compliance with all tax and labor laws. This is not a 1099 independent contractor position.

Requirements

  • Active Newborn Care Specialist Certification (NBC/NCS)
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional newborn care experience
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Demonstrated experience with overnight newborn care
  • Excellent professional and childcare references
