Inside Their World:

A thoughtful first-time family in Columbus’ charming German Village neighborhood is seeking a professional nanny to become a trusted and steady presence in their home as they begin this exciting stage of parenthood with their 12-week-old baby boy, David.

David is a relaxed, easygoing baby who is doing wonderfully overall while working through mild reflux. His parents have created a peaceful and nurturing environment centered around connection, attentiveness, and consistency. They are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys infant care and appreciates the slower, intentional rhythm that comes with supporting a young baby during the earliest months of life.

Family Environment:

Mom and Dad are kind, communicative, and highly considerate people who value reliability, emotional maturity, and mutual respect within their household. As first-time parents, they are excited to learn and grow alongside an experienced caregiver who can bring confidence, sound judgement, and a calm presence into the home. Mom works remotely from a separate third-floor office and will occasionally move throughout the home during the day. The right candidate will feel comfortable working collaboratively with hands-on parents while still taking ownership of the child’s daily care with professionalism and independence. This is not a formal or overly rigid household. The family hopes to build a genuine long-term relationship with someone who feels naturally aligned with their lifestyle and values.

Outside of work and parenting, the family enjoys spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, relaxing on their patio, and walking their four small rescue dogs around the neighborhood. Their home is social, welcoming, and rooted in close relationships with family and friends.

Who Thrives Here:

This role is best suited for a nanny who is naturally steady, intuitive, and deeply experienced with infants. Someone who notices the small things, enjoys creating rhythm throughout the day, and brings a reassuring energy into the home will thrive in this environment. The ideal candidate is experienced with infant development and routines, dependable and consistently punctual, thoughtful in their communication style, confident without being overpowering, engaging, warm, and emotionally aware, organized in a quiet and natural way, comfortable taking initiative when appropriate, and interested in building a lasting relationship with a family. Candidates with a background in child development or early childhood education are encouraged to apply.

Daily Rhythm:

Responsibilities will focus entirely on child-related care and maintaining a smooth, supportive daily flow for David. Duties include safely preparing and handling bottles and breastmilk, washing and sterilizing pump parts and bottles, laundering children’s linens and clothing, tidying child-related areas, and planning developmentally appropriate engagement as he grows. The nanny will also provide occasional updates throughout the day and help maintain a calm, connected atmosphere centered around responsive infant care.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience preferred
  • Strong infant experience required
  • Long-term nanny experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent professional references
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
  • Pet-friendly. The family has 4 small breed dogs
