A private family in Pacific Palisades is looking for an exceptional educator to become a consistent, trusted presence in their child's daily life. This is a meaningful role for someone who understands that great teaching extends far beyond academics and who brings both clinical knowledge and genuine warmth to every interaction.

About the Role

You'll join the family's household team in the late afternoon and evening hours, stepping in as the child transitions home from school. Each day looks a little different, but your approach will be steady: grounding, encouraging, and always one step ahead of what the child needs next. From homework and enrichment activities to dinner and wind-down, you'll hold the rhythm of the evening with confidence and care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Guiding after-school transitions and establishing a calm, predictable tone for the afternoon
• Providing homework support and educational engagement tailored to the child's learning style
• Supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs using established strategies
• Preparing meals and supporting evening routines through to wind-down
• Communicating openly and consistently with parents about the child's day, progress, and needs

What We're Looking For

• A credentialed teacher with hands-on experience supporting neurodivergent learners
• Minimum 5 years working with children on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, or with sensory processing differences
• Deep familiarity with structured routines, behavioral strategies, and individualized support approaches
• A grounded, nurturing presence — someone who leads with patience and reads a room instinctively
• Strong professional communication skills within a private household environment
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Trustline certified, or willing to become certified upon hire

Schedule & Compensation Monday–Friday, 1:00–9:00 PM, with occasional weekend flexibility. Compensation $130,000–$175,000 based on experience, plus benefits.
