A warm and welcoming family temporarily residing in California is seeking an experienced, calm,
and highly professional Newborn Care Specialist to support them during the arrival of their third
child. The family is looking for a knowledgeable NCS who can confidently guide them through the
newborn stage while providing overnight support, structure, and reassurance during this exciting
transition. This is an excellent opportunity for a true newborn specialist who thrives in collaborative
family environments and can seamlessly step in to support both the baby and parents during the
postpartum period. Mom is very hands-on and involved, and the family is looking for someone who
can work alongside them as a trusted support system while helping ensure everyone is getting the
rest and care they need. Please note that flexibility is extremely important for this role. During the
first week following the baby’s arrival, the family will require 24-hour newborn support. The NCS will
collaborate with
 the family’s daytime nanny/family assistant to create a schedule that works well for
everyone
involved. Additional hours will be required during this initial postpartum period. Baby is
due on August 10th.

 

Responsibilities Include

• Full overnight newborn care
• Feeding support and bottle preparation/cleaning if applicable
• Diapering, soothing, swaddling, and overnight care routines
• Monitoring newborn sleep patterns and development
• Supporting healthy sleep foundations and newborn routines
• Washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts as needed
• Maintaining nursery organization and cleanliness related to the baby
• Assisting parents with newborn education and guidance when appropriate
• Providing calm, confident support during the postpartum transition

• Experienced with newborns and overnight care
• Calm, nurturing, and highly professional
• Knowledgeable in newborn development and sleep support
• Proactive, intuitive, and dependable
• Able to work independently overnight while maintaining excellent communication with parents
• Comfortable supporting a busy household during a major family transition
• Warm, reassuring, and confident in their approach

 

Requirements

• Prior professional Newborn Care Specialist experience required
• NCS Certification
• Excellent newborn-related references
• CPR and First Aid certified
• Up-to-date vaccinations preferred
• Strong understanding of safe sleep practices
• Must be reliable, punctual, and organized
