A warm and welcoming family in Michigan is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and highly professional Newborn Care Specialist to support them for approximately 16 weeks following the arrival of their third child. The baby will be approximately one month old at the start of the position. The family is looking for a calm, confident NCS who can step in as a trusted support system and help guide them through the newborn stage while establishing healthy sleep habits, routines, and structure before the position concludes. Mom is extremely hands-on and involved, and the family is looking for someone who can work collaboratively alongside them while bringing strong newborn expertise and gentle guidance into the home. This is a busy household with older children as well, so the ideal candidate should be adaptable, organized, and comfortable supporting a dynamic family environment.
Responsibilities Include
• Full newborn care support
• Assisting with establishing healthy sleep habits and routines
• Helping gently sleep train the baby when developmentally appropriate
• Creating and maintaining a consistent feeding and sleeping schedule
• Bottle preparation and cleaning if applicable
• Diapering, soothing, swaddling, and age-appropriate developmental support
• Monitoring milestones, routines, and newborn development
• Washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts as needed
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness related to the baby and nursery
• Providing parents with guidance, education, and reassurance when appropriate
• Supporting the overall transition into life with three children
The family’s goal is for the baby to be on a strong, healthy, and consistent routine by the end of the placement, and they are looking for an NCS who feels confident helping implement age-appropriate structure and sleep support along the way.

Requirements
• Prior professional Newborn Care Specialist experience required
• Certified Newborn Care Specialist
• Excellent newborn-related references
• CPR and First Aid certified
• Strong understanding of safe sleep practices
• Up-to-date vaccinations preferred
