The Nanny Edit is currently seeking an engaging and confident Part-Time Family Assistant/Nanny for a laid-back, active, and inclusive family. This role is centered around caring for a happy and curious 6-month-old who is beginning to crawl, sitting up well, and enthusiastically exploring the world around him. The family is looking for someone who genuinely loves the baby stage and thrives in an interactive, play-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a nanny who enjoys floor play, reading, singing, stroller walks, and being fully present during these early developmental milestones. The ideal candidate will be animated, nurturing, and naturally engaging, as the baby responds especially well to warmth, energy, and interaction. The family follows an intuitive and responsive caregiving approach rather than a rigid schedule. They prefer to lean into their child’s natural rhythms for eating, naps, and play throughout the day. They are seeking someone who can confidently take the lead during working hours while maintaining open communication and a collaborative dynamic with mom, who works from home running her PR agency. The goal is for care to feel seamless, calm, and trustworthy, allowing mom to focus on work without feeling disconnected from her child’s day. Dad works in-office as a project manager, and the family enjoys fitness, the outdoors, and frequent Disneyland visits as annual passholders. Their home environment is easygoing, welcoming, and busy in the best way.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, developmentally focused care for an infant
• Coordinate play-based learning, reading, singing, tummy time, and interactive floor play
• Support formula feedings and transition to solids
• Take baby on stroller walks and encourage exploration and engagement
• Maintain tidy and organized nursery, feeding, and play areas
• Assist with light child-related cleanup throughout the day
• Wash bottles and assist with cleaning related to the child’s activities and routines
• Wash, fold, and organize the child’s laundry
• Maintain inventory of baby supplies including diapers, wipes, formula, and household essentials related to the child
• Organize home spaces such as closets, pantry areas, playroom spaces, and storage areas
• Run family assistant errands including groceries, dry cleaning, post office runs, and returns
• Help manage deliveries and be available for occasional service appointments
• Communicate openly and proactively with parents regarding the child’s day, milestones, and needs
• Confidently manage the flow of the day while respecting the work-from-home environment
• During family travel only, assist with light pet care for two cats including checking food and water dishes

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
• Truly enjoys and specializes in infant care and the baby stage
• Warm, playful, energetic, and naturally engaging
• CPR certified and/or background in Early Childhood Education or teaching preferred
• Clean driving record and reliable vehicle required
• Comfortable working in a home with two cats
• Organized, tidy, and proactive
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with work-from-home parents
• Respectful of the family’s non-religious household and caregiving preferences

The family ideally seeks coverage Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, though they would consider an 8:00 AM–1:00 PM schedule if needed. The family is offering 1–2 weeks PTO in addition to paid holidays and sick days for the right long-term fit. They are excited and prepared to move quickly for the right candidate.
