Inside Their World
A warm, family-centered household is seeking a professional nanny/family assistant to provide consistency, support, and dependable care for their two school-age children. This position is ideal for a caregiver who enjoys building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence, and becoming a trusted part of a family's daily life.
Their daughter is a thoughtful, social, and compassionate 10-year-old who takes her role as a big sister seriously. She enjoys spending time with friends, participating in sports, and is beginning to navigate the early stages of adolescence. She gravitates toward people who are genuine, calm, and drama free.
Her younger brother is an energetic and charismatic 7-year-old with a larger-than-life personality. He loves baseball, basketball, and anything competitive. Motivated by goals and incentives, he thrives with caregivers who can provide structure, encouragement, and consistency. Like many bright and determined children, he enjoys negotiating and testing limits, making confident and consistent guidance especially important.
Family Environment
This family places tremendous value on kindness, connection, and spending quality time together. Much of their free time revolves around supporting the children's athletic activities, attending games, enjoying family movie nights, and staying active together.
Mom describes herself as easygoing while appreciating organization and reliability. She values open communication and collaborative relationships, but she is not a micromanager. Once trust is established, she prefers to give her nanny autonomy and appreciates someone who can confidently take ownership of their role.
The family is currently navigating a temporary medical situation. As a result, they are seeking a dependable and emotionally intelligent professional who can help provide stability, support, and peace of mind during this season of life.
Who Thrives Here
The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, and highly dependable. They understand how to balance nurturing care with firm, age-appropriate boundaries and are comfortable guiding children who may occasionally challenge expectations or attempt to negotiate their way out of responsibilities.
This family will thrive with a nanny who can confidently step in, assess situations independently, and keep daily routines running smoothly without requiring constant direction. Someone who is proactive, intuitive, and naturally looks for ways to be helpful will be especially successful in this role.
A great fit will genuinely enjoy spending time with school-age children, encouraging their interests, supporting their development, and creating a positive environment where they feel both loved and accountable.
Daily Rhythm
Responsibilities include assisting with the morning routine, preparing the children for school and activities, providing after-school care, transportation, homework support, coordinating activities and outings, preparing simple meals and snacks, and helping maintain organization within the children's spaces.
Additional responsibilities may include children's laundry, keeping common areas tidy throughout the day, grocery shopping related to the children's needs, activity planning, and providing occasional support to help keep the household running smoothly.
