Inside Their World
A warm, welcoming family is seeking an experienced nanny to support their two daughters and become a trusted long term presence in their home.
Their oldest daughter is a kind, playful, and easygoing little girl who loves ball play, books, playground adventures, and quality one-on-one interaction. She thrives with caregivers who are patient, engaged, and genuinely enjoy slowing down and connecting with children. She has hearing loss and developmental delays and communicates through a combination of spoken language, ASL, AAC, and other forms of communication. Her family strongly believes in presuming competence, celebrating progress, and meeting her where she is.
Her younger sister is a curious, busy, and adventurous 6-month-old who loves movement, exploration, and discovering the world around her. She is beginning to eat solids through a baby-led weaning approach and keeps everyone smiling with her adventurous spirit.
This family values connection over perfection. Their parenting style is warm, flexible, and grounded in the belief that children can experience frustration, hear the word "no," and learn through supportive guidance. They are not rigid or highly scheduled and appreciate caregivers who can adapt to the natural rhythm of family life.
Family Environment
Both parents are busy professionals. Mom will be in office Mondays and Wednesdays and will be working from home Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Dad will be out of the home most days.
Mom values confidence, initiative, and independent thinking. She appreciates people who can take ownership of their role, solve problems thoughtfully, and operate without needing constant direction.
Dad is organized, dependable, and thoughtful. Together, they have created a close-knit home built on respect, kindness, family connection, and teamwork.
Their Orthodox Christian faith is an important part of their family's values, and they are seeking a nanny who will respectfully support and honor those beliefs within the household.
Who Thrives Here
This role is ideal for an intentional, calm, emotionally mature nanny who brings quiet confidence to their work. The family is looking for someone who can anticipate needs, make sound decisions independently, and create a sense of stability throughout the day.
The ideal candidate sees possibility before limitation. They understand that growth often happens through everyday interactions and are excited by the opportunity to support communication, mobility, learning, and independence through play and daily routines.
Experience supporting children with developmental delays, hearing loss, therapies, adaptive equipment, communication devices, or other developmental differences is strongly preferred. ASL experience is welcomed but not required.
Most importantly, this family is looking for someone who will genuinely see and appreciate their children for who they are. They value a nanny who enjoys being with children, takes the time to understand what sparks their interests, and meets them where they are. They hope to find someone who will foster curiosity, learning, and growth through intentional, hands-on engagement.
Daily Rhythm
Responsibilities include providing attentive care for both children, planning engaging age-appropriate activities and outings, transporting children to therapies and appointments, supporting developmental goals through play and daily routines, encouraging communication and language development, preparing children's meals and bottles, safely handling and storing breast milk, laundering children's clothing and linens, maintaining children's spaces, restocking child-related supplies, and keeping children's areas organized and tidy.
The nanny will regularly accompany the children to therapies, community activities, local libraries, recreation programs, and other enriching experiences. School, therapies, grandparents, and community resources are all located within a few miles of the family's home.
