ECE Nanny Needed FT for Newborn in Presidio Heights

A family in Presidio Heights is seeking an experienced nanny / educator for their 1-month-old baby boy. They are looking for someone certified and highly knowledgeable in developmental milestones and early education. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, engaging in play, preparing bottles and baby-friendly solids, child laundry, and light tidying.

Above all they are looking for someone with extensive newborn/infant experience who is professional, warm, a team-player, and confident. Both parents work full-time so it’s important to find a candidate comfortable taking initiative who can provide guidance and recommendations while remaining open to their personal preferences. Flexibility and willingness to travel is ideal as the family travels 2-3 times per year (trips are usually 7-10 days). The best person for them is looking for longevity and will grow and adapt with the family.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Certification in Early Childhood Education and/or as a postpartum doula, and/or experience teaching in a preschool
  • Fluency in Chinese (nice to have, not required)

Qualifications

  • TB and Tdap vaccinated
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
  • Ideally has flexibility to travel domestic/international 2-3 times per year (trips are usually 7-10 days)
  • High level of knowledge about developmental milestones
  • Extensive newborn/infant experience
  • Can provide guidance and recommendations while also following parent preferences

Responsibilities

  • Providing attentive and developmentally appropriate care
  • Actively engaging in play and planning activities geared towards baby’s development and milestones
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to parents
  • Prepare, wash, sanitize bottles
  • Manage transitions such as solids, daily routine, potty training, etc.
  • Organizing and taking inventory of child’s clothing, toys, and supplies
  • Child laundry
  • Light tidying (maintaining nursery, play and common areas)
