Inside Their World:

A warm, organized, and active family is searching for an experienced career nanny to become a trusted, long-term part of their children's lives. They are looking for someone who enjoys creating meaningful childhood experiences and values an active, engaging approach to childcare.

Their energetic 2-year-old son is curious, expressive, and adventurous. Whether he's kicking a soccer ball, exploring a new playground, or heading out on a walk, he approaches each day with enthusiasm and excitement. Fearless by nature, he thrives with caregivers who match his energy, confidently guide him through new experiences, and foster his growing independence.

His younger sister is a sweet, happy 8-month-old who is beginning to crawl and explore the world around her. She enjoys interacting with those around her and is entering an exciting stage of rapid growth and discovery.

As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, swimming and boating during the summer, and traveling together throughout the year. They hope to find a nanny who shares their belief that childhood should be filled with exploration, fresh air, and meaningful experiences rather than screen time.

Family Environment:

These parents describe their parenting style as "freedom with guardrails." They value routines, healthy sleep habits, and consistency while encouraging their children to explore, problem-solve, and build confidence through age-appropriate independence.

Mom is thoughtful, organized, and welcoming. She values professionalism, honesty, and direct communication and believes the strongest working relationships are built on mutual respect. She appreciates a nanny who takes initiative, communicates openly, and confidently manages the day once expectations have been established.

This is an excellent opportunity for a career nanny who enjoys working alongside parents who value their expertise and trust them to take ownership of their role.

Who Thrives Here:

The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, and genuinely passionate about child development. They naturally create engaging days, enjoy taking children on outings, and understand the importance of encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independent play.

Because the children are at two very different developmental stages, the family is looking for someone who can comfortably balance both of their needs by staying organized and attentive while bringing a calm, nurturing presence to each day.

A clean driving record is especially important, as transporting the children safely is a significant part of this position. Candidates who are comfortable around large dogs, enjoy spending time outdoors, and are open to occasional travel with the family will be especially successful in this role.

Daily Rhythm:

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, coordinating outings to parks, libraries, museums, playgrounds, and local classes, transporting the 2 year old boy home from preschool on Thursdays and Fridays, preparing children's meals and snacks, preparing bottles, washing bottles and breast pump parts, supporting developmental milestones, laundering children's clothing and linens, maintaining tidy children's spaces, emptying the diaper pail, and completing other child-related household responsibilities.

The family encourages their nanny to remain active within the community and looks forward to someone who enjoys creating enriching experiences while maintaining predictable routines that support both children's development.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience caring for toddlers & infants
  • Valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required
  • Willingness to travel with the family on occasion is preferred
  • Pet Friendly

This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law.

At this stage, we cannot provide any additional information about this position other than what has already been provided in the job description.
