Family Syllabus: This sweet family of four in Playa Vista is looking for a nanny to spend their days with their newborn daughter and 3-year-old son! Their 3-year-old son is active and curious. He loves all things construction, reading, being active, and being outdoors. Their daughter is only a few weeks old, and the family currently has an NCS who cares for her nightly. Central to their home is a desire for a consistent, engaging, and supportive environment that fosters the child’s natural curiosity and early developmental milestones. As parents balance professional responsibilities both at home and away, they seek a collaborative partner who values open communication and is comfortable working alongside them to maintain a seamless daily routine. On the weekends, mom and dad will be very present and hands-on. They also have an additional nanny during the week and a housekeeper to support with deep cleaning.
Ideal Candidate: This family is searching for a nanny who isn't just a caregiver but a genuine partner in their children’s development. Their ideal candidate is deeply knowledgeable about child development, with a focus on infant, toddler, and preschool milestones, and understands the exciting journey of growth ahead. A nanny who is energetic and proactive and knows when to step in and step out would be ideal. A nanny who is experienced in establishing and maintaining consistent sleep and feeding routines would be an ideal fit for this family. They would also love a nanny who enjoys preparing healthy meals and snacks for their children as part of their daily care. They're looking for someone who is proactive and takes initiative. This includes keeping the children’s sleeping and play areas tidy and organized. They value a nanny who is a good communicator, flexible, collaborative, yet also adept at following directions and integrating feedback. An excellent driving record is a must. While a college degree isn't required for this role, a deep understanding of child development is essential.
Job Synopsis: Spend your days learning and exploring with the sweetest children. Duties for this position will include doing the children’s laundry, preparing healthy meals and snacks, doing dishes, keeping their rooms and play areas clean, organized, and tidy, and grocery shopping for the family. The schedule for this position guarantees 40 hours per week. The schedule is flexible, but the majority of the care will be on Thursdays-Sundays, and a schedule could include: Thursdays for 5-7-hour shifts from 2-9 pm, and Fridays through Sundays for 10-12-hour shifts. Flexibility is important with the ability to shift hours and/or stay late on occasion. Travel is not required; however, the family will be traveling to Europe next year for 3-4 weeks and would love to have the nanny join them. This role pays from $40 to 45/hour gross, with overtime, paid vacation, sick days, and holidays. A clean and reliable vehicle is required for this position.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who has received the Tdap and MMR vaccines and is open to the annual flu vaccine.
