Inside Their World:

A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and professional nanny to become a valued part of their home as they care for their infant daughter and their young son. Their son attends preschool full-time, and the nanny's care for him will generally be from 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m and on occasional days when preschool is closed. The majority of the role will focus on caring for their infant daughter. They are looking for someone excited to build genuine relationships with both children while creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where each child can thrive.

Their 3-month-old daughter is in a wonderful season of early growth and discovery and will benefit from attentive, nurturing care that supports her development while helping her feel safe, loved, and encouraged every step of the way.

Their 3.5-year-old son is an energetic, curious little boy who loves spending time outdoors. Whether he’s building mud kitchens, splashing through sprinklers, or exploring the world around him, he thrives with a caregiver who embraces imaginative play and supports him in navigating big feelings with warmth, patience, and emotionally attuned reassurance.

The family is hoping to find a nanny with a genuine passion for working with children and someone who truly loves what they do and naturally brings warmth, patience, and individualized attention to every moment of the day, while maintaining a calm, organized, and professional approach to routines and responsibilities.

Family Environment:

Mom and Dad’s parenting approach is rooted in developmentally appropriate guidance, emotional regulation, and gentle, respectful caregiving. They believe childhood should be filled with connection, adventure, and plenty of time outdoors. They value warmth, honesty, and open communication, and they place a strong emphasis on building meaningful relationships with those in their home. They do not use time-outs or yelling and instead guide their child through consistent expectations and follow-through. Transitions are supported with advance warnings and visual timers, and meals are structured with set options. They believe all feelings are welcome, though not all behaviors are acceptable, and guide their children with empathy, clear boundaries, and consistent expectations. As parents, they model accountability by apologizing when appropriate and intentionally teaching empathy, responsibility, and respect.

These parents are seeking a true partner in childcare whom they can trust to make thoughtful decisions, keep them informed, and care for their children confidently with both independence and compassion. Once trust is established, they value giving their nanny autonomy in the role while staying closely connected and fully supported.

Mom works from home, so candidates should be comfortable and confident working in a collaborative environment with a parent regularly in the home throughout the day.

Who Thrives Here:

This position is perfect for a career nanny who finds genuine joy in helping children learn, grow, and thrive. The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted part of their lives by building meaningful relationships with both children and bringing warmth, confidence, and professionalism into their home each day.

Their ideal nanny is nurturing, emotionally intuitive, and experienced caring for both an infant and a young child, balancing each child's unique needs with ease. They communicate openly with parents, naturally anticipate what needs to be done, and approach each day with initiative and thoughtful judgment. They’re actively engaged in play, getting right down on the children’s level, whether it’s building mud kitchens, running through sprinklers, and fully joining in outdoor adventures, while also supporting social-emotional growth and celebrating developmental milestones along the way.

Experience in education, preschool settings, or developmental support is warmly valued, especially experience supporting children’s social-emotional growth. Familiarity with early learning environments, IEP-informed approaches, or similar developmental frameworks is a plus. The family especially appreciates someone observant, proactive, and able to anticipate needs.

Daily Rhythm:

Your days will be centered around providing loving, attentive care while creating enriching experiences for both children. You'll spend time planning engaging activities, encouraging outdoor adventures, supporting age-appropriate learning and development, and creating a fun, nurturing environment where both children feel seen and supported.

You will provide day-to-day childcare support, including preparing simple meals and snacks, bottle prep, and safe breastmilk handling. Keeping children’s areas and supplies organized by cleaning up after meals, loading/unloading dishwasher, doing children’s laundry, and maintaining diapering essentials (diaper pail, diaper bag restock), providing light household support tied to child care, and sharing updates with parents throughout the day via text and photos. The family values a nanny who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and helps keep the household running smoothly while always keeping the children's well-being at the center of everything they do.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience
  • Extensive experience caring for both infants & toddlers
  • Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional learning
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
  • Pet-friendly; the family has 2 cats in the home
