General Schedule:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Typical hours are 8:00 am – 8:00 pm with some occasional later evenings
  • Occasional overnights

A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided for the nanny for overnight stays. The family prefers a local, live-out candidate but is open to a regular live-in arrangement for the right fit.

  • This position is ideal for a highly experienced, professional nanny seeking a steady, long-term ROTA role with a family
  • Organized, cultured, and self-directed 
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, able to plan enrichment activities and find /plan classes and private instructors independently.
  • Comfortable with logistics – managing schedules, arranging activities, and handling transportation.
  • Active, engaging, and genuinely invested in supporting children and families
  • Knowledgeable about early childhood development – Incorporates age-appropriate learning through reading, creative arts, sensory play, early literacy and numeracy, and other activities.
  • Confident in the kitchen – planning, preparing, and serving healthy meals and snacks
  • Flexible with scheduling and with the other ROTA nanny – a team player mindset
  • A trustworthy and honest nature and strong communication skills. 
  • Punctual, reliable, and professional demeanor while fostering a warm and nurturing atmosphere
  • Passport-ready and able to travel
  • Well versed in early childhood education and specifically Montessori 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Everything relating to the well-being of the child
  • Plan and actively engage the child in fun, age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g., transitioning to solids, learning to walk, potty training, etc). 
  • Feeding and sterilizing the baby’s equipment 
  • Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene
  • Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules while adapting as her routines evolve
  • Child’s laundry
  • Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag
  • Walks, reading, singing, indoor and outdoor play
  • Meal preparation for the child
  • Bedtime and bathtime routines
  • Eventual school pick-up and drop-offs, and taking the child to activities and playdates
  • Keeping the child’s spaces clean and tidy
  • Packing and unpacking for frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel

 

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of full-time nanny experience with infants and toddlers
  • Experience as an Educator / Nanny
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 
  • 2-3 relevant references
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Prior experience working with high-net-worth families preferred
  • Polished and professional
  • Genuine passion for working with children and families 
  • College degree
  • Working knowledge of child development and respectful caregiving philosophies. Experience with Montessori is a significant plus.

Compensation: Estimated total annual compensation of approximately $150,000+, based on the anticipated schedule. The compensation package includes hourly wages, overtime for hours worked over 40 per rotation, overnight and travel compensation, and benefits.

Benefits:

  • Major holidays will rotate annually between the two ROTA nannies. Any designated major holiday worked will be compensated at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.
