A family in Lafayette is seeking a detail oriented Family Assistant for household support. Responsibilities include driving their girls (7 and 9 years old) from school to activities, homework help, running errands, light tidying and household organization, meal prep and cooking for the family, family laundry, etc. The best person for them is highly organized, professional, enthusiastic, and active. Someone who likes to stay busy, keep the household running smoothly, and looking for logevity.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable reference
• Longevity in previous positions

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

• COVID-vaccinated + staying current on the booster
• TB and Tdap
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household car for work-related driving)
• Organized with attention to detail
• Comfortable with parents working from home and being involved with the kids
• Professional

• Experienced with 7-9 year olds

• Excels at juggling kids’ busy schedules

Responsibilities

• Support running errands (post office/fedEx, grocery shopping, stocking for events, etc.)
• Manage inventory of home and children’s supplies
• Assistance driving the girls to soccer, dance, golf, etc. several days a week
• General tidying / keeping up on home organization (housekeeper comes on Tues and Thurs)
• Homework help
• Cooking and meal prep for the family
• Follow up with vendors, landscape/gardeners, etc.
• Make the children’s beds and tidy their rooms
• Light admin assistance – support in registering the kids for activities, events, etc.
• House/pet sit when family is traveling
