Full Time Live In Nanny/Family Assistant

Summary:
A highly engaged father of two young children, nearly 3 and 6 years old, is seeking a warm and dependable nanny and family assistant for a long-term role in his household. He works from home part of the week and is closely involved in day-to-day parenting; he seeks a true partner in care rather than someone to simply hand the children off to. The family leads an active Southern California lifestyle built around school, sports, lessons, beach days, and everyday outings. Occasional domestic and international travel with the family, along with overnight care as needed, is part of the opportunity. This is a live in role with your own beautiful ADU on property.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate brings warmth, reliability, professionalism, and a genuine love of working with children; Early Childhood Education and/or private household experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include hands-on childcare focused on safety, development, and fun, meal and snack preparation, managing the children's laundry and closets, and coordinating swim and music lessons, camps, appointments, and other activities. The role also includes planning outings and enriching play, light household support such as grocery shopping and stocking household essentials (deep cleaning and heavy housekeeping are not part of this role), and helping maintain calm, organized children's spaces. The schedule typically runs 3 to 4 days per week with built-in flexibility, including regular evening, weekend, and occasional overnight availability. Also, some weeks you may not be needed as much so the open flexibility if appreciated on both sides. Schedules are generally communicated several days in advance. Compensation is competitive and includes PTO, a discretionary performance bonus, and potential healthcare reimbursement, along with a respectful, long-term-minded work environment.
