Newborn Care Specialist - Salida, CO $1,300-$2,138/Weekend

📍 Job is located near Salida in Chaffee County, Colorado, approximately 140 miles from Denver. A travel stipend is available.

This is a twice monthly long weekend placement requiring around the clock availability while Dad is on call at the hospital.

 

🏡 This live in arrangement comes with a full guest room suite with full private bathroom provided for the caregiver.

 

⏰ Schedule is Friday 9am through Sunday 4pm, for a total of 55 hours per weekend, two weekends per month. Family would like a caregiver with flexibility to extend coverage to 4-5 nights in a row in the future.

🗓️ Start Date: First week of September 2026

👶 Dad is a surgeon and will be on-call at the hospital two weekends per month. As a Professional Nanny / Newborn Care Specialist you will be in the home to provide full daytime and overnight care for a 5 month old baby girl when Dad is called to the hospital for work.

🍼 When Dad is called in to work, your daily tasks will include full care of a happy, typically developing baby girl including: feeding, diapering, bathing, age appropriate enrichment, helping baby meet milestones, tracking all feedings and diapers in app. Responsibilities will also include light housekeeping, cleaning of bottles, pacifiers and baby toys, baby's laundry, stocking the nursery, and maintaining a tidy and orderly house.

Nightly tasks will include adhering to sleep schedules and goals as laid out by parent, monitoring infant well-being, responsive soothing, bottle feedings and diaper changes as required, as well as offering expert advice on newborn development and care practices. Caregiver may sleep when baby sleeps.

💉 Family prioritizes the health and safety of their infant requiring CPR/First Aid as well as recommended vaccinations for working with infants, specifically Current/most recent Covid-19 vaccine, Current/most recent influenza vaccine, TDap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella OR Titer test showing immunity).

🤱 This position is to provide care for a much-loved only child in a one parent household. Support is required while Dad is on call for his job at the nearby hospital. There may occasionally be two well-behaved dogs in the home who require minimal pet care.
