Inside Their World:

A close-knit and active family is seeking an experienced Family Assistant and Household Manager to become a trusted, long-term partner in caring for the day-to-day logistics of their home. This is a busy household where organization, efficiency, and thoughtful planning are valued, and the right person will play an important role in keeping the family's day-to-day life running smoothly.

Their 11-year-old daughter is active in competitive swim and soccer and enjoys reading, spending time with friends, making jewelry, and knitting.   Their 10-year-old daughter is also involved in competitive swim, soccer and loves spending time with friends, cooking, fashion and design, and sewing. Both girls are mature, responsible, and understand the expectations their parents have around behavior, schoolwork, and their commitment to sports.  They are becoming increasingly independent. Their ideal candidate genuinely enjoys spending time with school-age children while also understanding that supporting older children often means managing the infrastructure around them, including schedules, transportation, activities, appointments, school needs, and daily routines.

The ideal person will anticipate needs, solve problems, and create systems that make everyday life more organized and efficient. The family values someone who takes genuine pride in their work and becomes a dependable presence in the home. Ultimately, they are looking for a trusted partner who can take ownership, think ahead, and help make the family's lives easier.

Family Environment:

This family embraces a parenting philosophy centered around clear expectations, kindness, and structure. Both parents are deeply involved in their children's lives while also balancing demanding professional responsibilities. They lead their family intentionally, prioritizing setting good examples in all aspects of day-to-day life, in and out of the house.

Mom & Dad bring a thoughtful, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach to their home. They appreciate open and honest communication, accountability, and strong follow-through, and appreciate someone who can take ownership of their responsibilities and confidently manage the details without needing to be continuously directed. They are comfortable having honest conversations when something needs to be adjusted and are looking for someone who is receptive to feedback, open-minded, and willing to make adjustments with a shared focus on finding what works best for everyone.

The family is looking for someone who can confidently manage the many moving pieces of their household while maintaining a warm and positive relationship with the children. They value someone who can step in wherever needed, anticipate what is coming next, and help create a calm, well-run home.

Who Thrives Here:

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and naturally takes ownership. The family is looking for someone who sees the big picture rather than simply completing a list of assigned tasks.

Strong executive functioning is essential. The ideal candidate is naturally organized and excellent at planning, prioritizing, remembering details, managing multiple moving pieces, and following responsibilities through to completion. They should be able to identify scheduling conflicts before they become problems, manage competing priorities, and close loops without needing reminders.

The family is seeking someone who is solution-oriented, adaptable, and confident in their ability to navigate changing priorities. When something doesn't go as expected, they value someone who can assess the situation, create a new plan, communicate clearly, and move forward with confidence. They appreciate a Family Assistant with strong judgment who can make thoughtful decisions independently while recognizing when parental input is needed. Professionalism, accountability, and emotional steadiness are equally important, as they are seeking someone who is dependable, receptive to feedback, communicates honestly, and takes genuine ownership of their responsibilities.

When working with the girls, the ideal candidate will be comfortable taking a directive approach while still encouraging age-appropriate independence and personal responsibility. They should be confident setting expectations, following through on them, and holding the children accountable in a warm and respectful way.

Daily Rhythm:

Each day will look different, and flexibility is an important part of the role. This person will help keep the family's schedules, activities, appointments, errands, and household logistics organized while providing support wherever needed. Responsibilities include light tidying, coordinating schedules and transportation, managing appointments and extracurricular activities, planning and completing errands, keeping household supplies organized and replenished, coordinating with vendors and service providers, supporting household projects, assisting with travel logistics and preparation, and maintaining organized family spaces. Cooking and meal preparation are key parts of this role, and candidates should be comfortable and confident in the kitchen preparing healthy meals.

This person will also help with child-related needs such as transportation to and from school and activities, meals and snacks, laundry, and planning age-appropriate outings on the children’s off days or school breaks.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional family assistant or household management experience
  • Strong experience supporting school-aged children
  • Exceptional executive functioning and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experienced and comfortable cooking and preparing healthy, well-balanced meals
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
  • Comfortable with pets; the family has a 6-year-old German Shepard

This position is open to candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
