Full Time Live-in or Live-out Nanny/Family Assistant with Summer Travel (Nationwide Search)
Summary:
A warm, entrepreneurial family is seeking an experienced, adaptable nanny to join their household on a full-time, year-round basis. The family is open to either a live-out arrangement for a local candidate or a live-in arrangement for an out-of-area candidate, with relocation assistance available. The family is seeking someone who is interested in a very long-term commitment and can grow with the household, as they anticipate needing continued support even after the children enter school. The ideal candidate will be proactive, independent, flexible, and comfortable becoming a trusted and valued extension of the family over the long term.
Required Skills:
Responsibilities include managing the 5-year-old’s school-year routine, coordinating communication with the school, and keeping schedules organized, while also leading engaging, age-appropriate activities for the younger child, from sensory exploration to first baking projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling with the family periodically during the school year as well as during the summer relocation and must hold a valid driver’s license. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with full autonomy, taking initiative, anticipating the family’s needs, and making sound decisions independently while remaining receptive to the family’s preferences and parenting style. Strong professionalism, healthy boundaries, discretion, and the ability to work independently are essential, as is being personable and well-connected within the nanny community. Vacation requests require four weeks’ notice, and candidates must be strong swimmers.
