Family Syllabus: This semi-formal family is looking for a loving, caring, and professional nanny to help care for their children ranging in ages from 4-9. The family resides in Silicon Valley and maintains secondary residences nearby. The household is supported by a professionally managed family office, with legal payroll, written policies, guaranteed hours, and a dedicated household team. The ideal candidate will be organized and thoughtful in their approach, treating safety, confidentiality, and flexibility as top priorities.

Ideal Candidate: The family is seeking an exceptional, career nanny with extensive experience caring for children and a genuine passion for fostering their growth, development, and independence. The ideal candidate is warm, kind, calm, and even-tempered, with a polished presence, impeccable manners, and a highly intuitive approach to childcare. This professional will possess strong emotional intelligence, excellent judgment, and the ability to seamlessly read the room, knowing when to step in, when to provide space, and how to maintain a peaceful, well-managed environment throughout the home. A true team player, the nanny will work closely with the parents as their primary support for all childcare needs while collaborating seamlessly with the household point of contact. The ability to create and maintain a quiet, calm atmosphere in family spaces is essential, as is the flexibility to pivot gracefully as priorities change. Discretion, professionalism, sound moral character, excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to excellence are essential. Job Synopsis: Responsibilities include transportation, daily childcare routines, organizing children’s spaces, coordinating activities, supporting family travel, and maintaining strong communication through nightly updates. The ideal candidate is an excellent swimmer, highly adaptable, discreet, and proactive, with outstanding judgment, communication skills, and a proven history of longevity in previous positions.

The schedule for this position is a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rotation, with flexibility to work overnights a few times per month. The family is also open to a traditional full-time schedule with a guarantee of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekends as well. The family is pleased to offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to recognize and support a long-term, valued professional. Compensation is from $60 to $75 per hour, with a target annual salary from $150k to $225k, depending on experience, including periods when the family travels without you; overtime is paid in accordance with California law. Benefits include 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a year-end discretionary bonus, and cost-of-living and merit-based increases as appropriate. The position also includes a 401(k) plan, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. For ease and convenience, the family provides a family vehicle and company cell phone. Qualifications:

7-10 years of professional nanny experience with UHNW families

Experience with three or more children in a busy household
