The Nanny Edit is excited to partner with a warm, active, and loving family seeking an energetic, creative, and highly engaging Full-Time Nanny / Family Assistant for their two sweet children, ages 4 and 2. This family is looking for someone with true “Mary Poppins” energy. The ideal nanny is playful, imaginative, loving, and always ready with an idea for an activity or adventure. Both children have lots of energy and love spending time outdoors, imaginative play, gardening, cars, dolls, trips to the park, and exploring the world around them. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny who genuinely loves the preschool and toddler years and thrives in a busy, hands-on household.

The Family:

This is a fun, close-knit family that values quality time, travel, outdoor adventures, beach days, cooking, dining out, and spending time with friends and family. Both parents own their own businesses, and Mom works from home. Their current nanny has been with the family for three years and has become an important part of their lives. As the children have grown and their schedules have become busier, the family is ready for a nanny who can take on a more active role, particularly with driving, activities, outings, and independently managing two young children. The family follows a parenting approach inspired by Dr. Becky Kennedy, with an emphasis on connection, emotional regulation, respectful boundaries, and the belief that children are inherently good inside.

The Children:

Their son is 4years old and will attend preschool Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The family would especially love a nanny who can make his afternoons fun and engaging. Think backyard obstacle courses, art projects, trips to the park, imaginative games, outdoor adventures, and activities that keep a curious preschooler busy and learning. Their daughter is 2 years old and will attend preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The nanny should be confident balancing her needs and schedule alongside an active preschooler.

 The ideal nanny is

  • Energetic, playful, creative, and loving
  • Experienced caring for multiple young children, ideally children of different ages
  • Physically active and comfortable keeping up with a toddler and preschooler
  • Confident independently taking both children on outings and managing car seats, strollers, gear, and transitions
  • Creative when planning age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, outdoor play, and adventures
  • Comfortable managing different school, activity, meal, and nap schedules
  • Reliable, proactive, organized, and able to anticipate what needs to be done
  • Comfortable working alongside a work-from-home parent while confidently taking the lead with the children
  • A safe and confident driver with a valid driver's license
  • Willing and excited to travel with the family a few times throughout the year
  • Open to occasional overnight care
  • Looking for a long-term position with a family where they can truly become a valued part of the family.

Responsibilities:

The children's care will always be the priority.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for both children
  • Planning engaging activities, crafts, games, outings, and outdoor adventures
  • Preschool drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Driving the children to activities and outings throughout the week
  • Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
  • Keeping children's spaces, toys, and belongings organized
  • Children's and family laundry as this is their number 1 priority outside of childcare
  • Light meal preparation
  • Tidying common areas during downtime
  • Grocery shopping and occasional household errands
  • Bringing in mail and packages
  • Breaking down boxes and helping with other small household tasks when time allows
  • Helping keep the household running smoothly while the children are at school
  • Providing occasional overnight care
  • Traveling with the family a few times per year

The family can provide a vehicle for use during working hours if the nanny's personal vehicle is not suitable for transporting the children.

Benefits :

  • 1–2 weeks of paid PTO
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid sick days

This is a long-term opportunity with a family that truly values their nanny. This family would love to find someone who walks through the door excited to spend the day with their children. Someone who sees a free afternoon and immediately thinks, “Let us build an obstacle course,” “Let us go explore the park,” or “I have the perfect art project for today.” They need a nanny who can confidently step in and run the children's day independently, particularly when Mom is traveling for work. The right person will be nurturing and affectionate while also being capable, active, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of the children's schedules and activities. This is a perfect fit for a career nanny who loves being active, creating memorable childhood experiences, traveling with a family, and becoming a trusted extension of the parents.
