Children: 7-month-old twins
Compensation: $50-$55+/hr
Schedule: 6-week contract, 45 guaranteed hrs/week. Sunday through Thursday, from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Inside Their World:
A thoughtful and gentle family is seeking a highly experienced Newborn Care Specialist with extensive Sleep Training experience to work with their 7-month-old twin girls overnight.
This is an ideal opportunity for an NCS who truly understands infant sleep and has successfully sleep trained twins or multiples. The family is looking for someone confident and experienced who can assess the babies' current routine, create an appropriate sleep-training plan, and provide the consistency needed to help both babies sleep independently through the night.
The twins were born at 34 weeks and are currently healthy, formula-fed babies. Their current nighttime routine includes bedtime around 7:00 PM, a dream feed around 11:00 PM, waking around 2:30 AM, and another early-morning waking around 5:00–5:30 AM before starting their day around 6:30 AM.
Family Environment:
The family's primary goal is to help both babies become strong, independent sleepers. They value clear, consistent communication and want an NCS who can work collaboratively with the parents throughout the sleep-training process. They are open to different sleep-training approaches and want someone who can confidently explain their methodology, establish an age-appropriate plan, help both babies learn to settle and return to sleep independently, navigate any challenges that may come up, and help the parents maintain the routine after the initial training period.
Who Thrives Here:
This role is ideal for an experienced, confident, and knowledgeable NCS and infant sleep trainer who has successfully worked with twins or multiples.
The family is looking for someone who doesn't simply "follow a schedule," but understands why babies are waking, can recognize patterns, make thoughtful adjustments, and confidently guide the family through the sleep-training process.
This person should be calm, consistent, communicative, and comfortable taking the lead when it comes to infant sleep. They should be able to explain their recommendations clearly while remaining collaborative and confident in their professional expertise.
Daily Rhythm:
The NCS will assess the twins' current sleep habits, schedule, feeds, and overnight wakings before developing and implementing an age-appropriate sleep-training plan. Responsibilities include working toward eliminating unnecessary overnight wakings, tracking sleep patterns and progress, and troubleshooting regressions or challenges as they arise.
Overnight responsibilities will also include bottle preparation, feeding, bottle cleaning, baby laundry, and light baby-related tidying during appropriate overnight periods.
The family anticipates approximately 4 weeks of active sleep training, followed by an additional 3 weeks of overnight support once the babies are sleeping well to reinforce the routine and help ensure their progress sticks.
Qualifications:
This position is open to candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
Out of respect for the privacy and confidentiality of the families we represent, we are unable to provide additional details beyond what is included in the job description at this stage of the process.
