Salary: $30-$35/hr DOE

A warm, busy family of four is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two school-aged children (elementary and middle school) and help keep their household running smoothly. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with older children and also genuinely likes organization and Family Assistant work.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate is warm and engaging with children, highly organized, dependable, and naturally proactive. They should be comfortable transitioning between childcare and household responsibilities and able to prioritize what needs attention each day.  A candidat who is collaborative and values the nanny/family relationship would do well.  

Responsibilities:

  • School pickups and transportation to activities,appointments, tutoring, and playdates
  • Manage after-school schedules and routines
  • Homework support and helping the children stay organized for school and activities
  • Prepare snacks and assist with afternoon/evening routines
  • Family laundry and linens
  • General household tidying and organization, including loading the dishwasher, cleaning the kitchen and sink, daily dusting around the children, and overall upkeep of common areas. 
  • Keep children’s belongings and frequently used household spaces organized
  • Grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, pharmacy runs, and other household errands
  • Restock household essentials as needed
  • Light meal preparation and occasional family dinners
  • Assist with seasonal organization, donations, and other household projects as time allows 
  • Help coordinate family schedules and occasional household appointments as needed 
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding schedules and household priorities
  • The children’s needs and schedules will take priority during after-school hours, with Family 
  • Assistant responsibilities managed around those needs.
