Inside Their World:

A warm, involved family in Beverly Hills is seeking an exceptional Live-In Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their 3-year-old son and 4.5-month-old daughter while providing thoughtful support around the home.

Their 3-year-old son is sweet, bright, and energetic. He loves trucks, soccer, swimming, being outdoors, and staying active. He attends preschool several mornings each week and thrives with someone playful and engaging who can also provide consistency, structure, and clear boundaries.

Their 4.5-month-old daughter is a cheerful, easygoing, and determined baby. She is bottle-fed, sleeps through the night, and enjoys tummy time and interacting with those around her. She has a milk protein allergy and sensitive stomach, making attention to detail and confidence with infant feeding routines especially important.

The family is looking for someone genuinely warm, loving, nurturing, fun, and affectionate—someone who will develop a deep bond with their children, gets down on the floor to play, engages them in conversation and learning, and takes genuine pleasure in watching them grow.

Family Environment:

These are hands-on parents who value warmth, respect, manners, clear boundaries, and raising thoughtful, considerate children. Both parents are regularly home, including a parent who works from a home office.

The ideal nanny enjoys working alongside involved parents and understands the rhythm of a private family home. They should be confident taking complete ownership when needed while also having the emotional intelligence to recognize when to step back during family time.

Privacy, discretion, and confidentiality are extremely important. The family expects a high level of professionalism and respect for household boundaries.

The family enjoys an active lifestyle filled with swimming, parks, the zoo, beach days, outdoor activities, and time with their two beloved dachshunds.

Travel is an important part of family life, with regular trips throughout California, Texas, Mexico, and Europe. They typically take three to four larger trips each year in addition to shorter getaways and are building a home in Mexico where they anticipate spending extended periods in the future.

The family currently resides in Beverly Hills and anticipates eventually making the Austin, Texas area their primary residence. They are seeking someone who views this as a long-term opportunity and is genuinely excited about the possibility of relocating with the family when that transition occurs.

Who Thrives Here:

The ideal candidate is exceptionally warm, nurturing, trustworthy, flexible, discreet, emotionally intelligent, organized, and highly self-directed.

A true “see a need, fill a need” mentality is essential. This person naturally anticipates rather than waits to be asked and enjoys making family life easier. They will proactively arrange playdates, research activities and outings, prepare for travel, maintain the children's supplies and belongings, and notice the details that help the household run smoothly.

The family wants someone who is engaged and present with the children—not simply supervising them. The right person enjoys playing, being silly, getting outside, creating activities, reading, talking and singing with the baby, organizing adventures, and fostering curiosity.

At the same time, they understand the importance of structure, consistency, manners, and boundaries and can reinforce these in a loving, positive way.

Flexibility is essential. The schedule may shift based on family plans, travel, the children's needs, and weekend coverage. The family currently employs another nanny, so being collaborative and respectful within a household team is important. The candidate must also be comfortable independently managing both children.

Schedule:

Day Schedule
Monday OFF
Tuesday 7–11 AM / 3–7 PM
Wednesday 7–11 AM / 2–7 PM
Thursday 7–11 AM / 3–7 PM
Friday 7 AM–12:30 PM / 3–7 PM
Saturday 10:30 AM–1:30 PM / 4–9 PM
Sunday 11 AM–1:30 PM

Weekend timing is flexible based on family plans. Saturday evening coverage may shift or not be needed when the family is not going out. Weekend hours can be adjusted accordingly while remaining within the 45-hour weekly schedule. The family will communicate scheduling needs as far in advance as reasonably possible.

Daily Rhythm:

The nanny will take ownership of the children's daily care and routines, providing warm, attentive, developmentally appropriate care. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning age-appropriate activities, outings, classes, and playdates

  • Supporting developmental milestones, social development, and independence

  • Maintaining routines, boundaries, and expectations aligned with the parents' approach

  • Safely transporting the children to school, activities, appointments, and outings

  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks and managing bottles and feeding routines

  • Providing sick care as needed

  • Managing children's laundry and clothing

  • Keeping bedrooms, play areas, toys, and belongings organized

  • Restocking children's essentials

  • Preparing belongings for school, activities, outings, and travel

This is a true Nanny/Family Assistant hybrid, with childcare always remaining the priority. During appropriate downtime, duties may also include light household support such as family laundry, grocery shopping, basic meal preparation, packing and unpacking for travel, occasional errands, and keeping the home organized and well-stocked.

Additional responsibilities include light care of the family's two small dogs and coordinating household vendors or service appointments as needed.

This is not a housekeeping role. The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being helpful, organized, proactive, and becoming a trusted right hand to the family.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional childcare experience

  • Recent hands-on experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children

  • Previous live-in experience strongly preferred

  • Previous nanny/family assistant experience strongly preferred

  • Comfortable relocating to Austin, TX within the next year or two

  • Valid U.S. passport

  • Valid driver's license

  • Reliable and insured vehicle

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Comfortable swimming and caring for children in and near water

  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check

  • Pet friendly; family has two small dogs

  • Seeking a long-term position
