Full Time Nanny / Family Assistant

Summary:
A warm, close-knit family in La Jolla is seeking an experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two children and help keep the household running smoothly. There is also a self-sufficient 15-year-old in the home who simply needs transportation to and from school. Core responsibilities center on after-school coverage for the 7-year-old: picking up from school, driving to and from extracurricular activities, and providing consistent homework support, including guided workbook time suited to a child working above grade level. This is a driving-intensive role, so a reliable vehicle and an excellent driving record are essential (gas reimbursement provided). The ideal candidate is athletic and leads a genuinely active, healthy lifestyle, as helping the 7-year-old stay physically engaged is an important part of the role. Family assistant duties round out the position and include running errands and returns, holiday and occasion gift purchasing, list-making and organization, and closet/space organization; no meal preparation is required, as the household includes a private chef and housekeeper. The family travels frequently, particularly in April and May, so flexibility for occasional overnight stays is appreciated though not required.

Required Skills:
Core hours are Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with comfort around nighttime and bedtime routines a must. Candidates interested in additional hours may also take on a Friday 3:00 to 9:00 PM shift and/or up to 10 extra hours per week driving in the mornings, 6:45 to 8:45 AM. We're looking for someone polished, punctual, and dependable, with a track record of longevity in past positions, sound judgment, creativity, and the presence of a strong role model.
