  • A welcoming family is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and reliable Spanish-speaking nanny to provide exceptional care for their 8-week-old infant daughter. This is a wonderful opportunity for a career nanny who genuinely loves the infant stage and is looking to become a trusted, consistent part of a family's household.

A very important part of this position is Spanish language exposure. The family is specifically looking for a caregiver who is fluent in Spanish and will speak primarily in Spanish to their daughter throughout the day. They hope to create a strong Spanish-language foundation from infancy, so the nanny should feel completely comfortable naturally communicating, reading, singing, playing, and engaging with the baby in Spanish on a daily basis.

The family splits their time between Newport Beach, California and Reno, Nevada, and approximately two weeks each month will involve traveling with the family between the two locations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with frequent travel and enjoy the flexibility and variety that comes with working across both homes.

    About the Family

The family has one 8-week-old infant daughter and is looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent presence in her life as she grows.

A parent works from home, so the nanny should be comfortable working alongside a work-from-home parent while confidently taking ownership of the baby's care throughout the day.

There are no pets in the home.

    About the Position

The nanny's primary responsibility will always be providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the family's infant daughter. The family is looking for someone who is nurturing, patient, safety-conscious, dependable, and genuinely enjoys caring for young children.

The nanny will be expected to consistently communicate with the baby in fluent Spanish throughout the day, including during playtime, feedings, walks, books, songs, routines, and everyday interactions. The family strongly values having their daughter immersed in the Spanish language from an early age.

As the baby grows, the family would love a nanny who can support her development through age-appropriate activities, play, reading, outdoor time, and engaging experiences while helping her reach new milestones.

During naps and other natural downtime, the nanny will also assist with light household tasks that help keep the home running smoothly.

    Responsibilities

    Infant Care

    • Providing attentive, loving, and safety-conscious care
    • Speaking primarily in fluent Spanish with the baby throughout the day

    • Supporting age-appropriate sleep and nap routines
    • Engaging in developmentally appropriate play and activities
    • Incorporating tummy time, sensory play, reading, music, and outdoor walks
    • Supporting developmental milestones as the baby grows
    • Keeping parents updated regarding feedings, naps, activities, and development
    • Maintaining and organizing the baby's belongings, nursery, bottles, and supplies
    • Anticipating the baby's needs and taking initiative throughout the day

    • Vacuuming and light tidying
    • Keeping commonly used areas neat and organized
    • Maintaining an organized environment throughout the day
    • Assisting with other reasonable light household tasks during the baby's naps or downtime

Childcare will always remain the primary focus of the position.

    Travel & Reno Accommodations

This position requires a nanny who is genuinely comfortable with frequent travel. The family splits their time between Newport Beach, CA and Reno, NV, and the nanny can expect to travel with the family approximately two weeks per month.

While staying at the family's Reno home, the nanny will have her own private room and kitchenette located on the bottom floor of the home, providing a comfortable and separate space to relax during off-hours.

The nanny will also have access to a vehicle while in Reno if needed, allowing for additional independence and flexibility while staying with the family.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable when routines or schedules shift during travel and confident maintaining consistency for an infant while transitioning between the family's two homes.

    The Ideal Candidate

    The family's ideal nanny is:

    • Fluent in Spanish and English
    • Comfortable speaking primarily in Spanish with the family's daughter throughout the day
    • Passionate about providing consistent Spanish-language exposure from infancy
    • Experienced and confident caring for infants
