A warm, active family near Golden is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Family Assistant / Nanny to help manage their household and care for three children: a 6.5-year-old boy and 4-year-old boy/girl twins.
During the school year, this position will be approximately 50% household management and 50% childcare. All three children attend school five days per week, allowing the Family Assistant/Nanny to complete household responsibilities before transitioning to school pickups, activities, homework, and afternoon care.
During school breaks and closures, childcare will take priority, with household responsibilities completed as time permits.
The family is seeking a long-term partnership of at least two years and hopes to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of their household.
The typical school-year schedule will be:
Monday–Friday, approximately 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
Some days may extend until approximately 8:00 PM
School breaks and closures: approximately 8:00 AM–5:00/6:00 PM
40+ guaranteed hours per week
Additional hours when a parent is traveling
Occasional date nights and extended coverage
Overtime paid for all hours worked over 40 per week
Both parents travel for work approximately one to two times per month. Candidates must be comfortable with a variable schedule and providing additional support when one parent is away.
The oldest child is a curious and energetic 6.5-year-old entering first grade. He is twice exceptional—gifted and diagnosed with ADHD, combination type—and takes daily medication and participates in several therapies. He loves sea monsters, sharks, dinosaurs, Star Wars, Halloween, and spooky things! He benefits from structure, patience, educational enrichment, and a caregiver who can support both his strengths and individual needs.
The 4-year-old twins will be entering pre-kindergarten:
Their daughter is confident, talkative, and full of stories. She loves coloring, books, unicorns, Paw Patrol, and anything pink.
Their son is thoughtful, kind, persistent, and fearless. He loves monster trucks, crocodiles, Magnatiles, Legos, and building activities. He has asthma and significant environmental allergies. His caregiver must carefully monitor symptoms and confidently administer an inhaler, EpiPen, or other medication when necessary.
Experience with twins, neurodivergence, twice-exceptional children, asthma, or severe allergies is highly valued. A background in education, tutoring, or enrichment would also be an asset.

The family will cover all travel-related expenses and provide applicable compensation, including overtime. Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential while traveling.
