Live-In Nanny | Dallas, TX
A loving family of four in Dallas, TX, is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to help care for their 11-year-old son with communication challenges. Experience with older children, autism, speech or communication challenges, or special education is a plus. The older son is 18 years old and independent. The position is primarily for the 11-year-old. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 7:45am-9pm, with downtime during the day when the son is at school. It will be a guaranteed 40 hours per week, with flexibility for longer hours when needed. The family is ready to hire once they find the right fit.
Responsibilities
- Create structure and routine
- Plan engaging activities
- Encourage independence
- Become a positive, consistent presence in son's daily life
- Light child-related housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Transportation to/from activities and appointments
- Travel with the family is required
- Must be legal to work in the US
- A clean and valid driver's license
- Experience with older children, autism, speech or communication challenges, or special education would all be a plus.
- Mature, patient, warm, and proactive
- Able to take ownership of creating a structured and engaging day
