Full Time Live In Nanny/ Family Assistant

 

A family in Plano, TX is seeking a positive, responsible, and dependable Live-In Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their 5-year-old child and provide light household support. This position is approximately 80% childcare and 20% Family Assistant duties.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organized, and comfortable with a mostly consistent schedule while remaining flexible when the family's needs occasionally change.

 

* Start Date: Flexible Start Date

* Contract: 12 months

* Hours: 40 hours/week

* Pay: $28–$32/hour

* Schedule: Monday–Friday, primarily 6:30–8:30 AM and 2:00–7:00 PM, with additional hours scheduled to reach 40 hours/week

* Some Saturday morning and weekend coverage may be needed

* Sundays off

* Occasional overnight care may be required

* Schedule is generally fixed, but flexibility with occasional changes is required

* Travel: No travel with the family

* Transportation: Family vehicle provided for work-related driving

 

 

* 2 weeks of paid vacation

* Provide attentive, nurturing care for the 5-year-old

* Assist with the child's morning routine

* Pick up the child from school

* Transport the child to activities and appointments as needed

* Prepare meals and snacks and assist with after-school routines

* Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment

 

* Grocery shopping and household errands

* Monitor household inventory and restock supplies

* Place online household orders as needed

* Handle the child's laundry

* Light housekeeping and organization related to the child

 

 

The nanny will have a private bedroom and private bathroom. The family will also provide meals, internet, parking, laundry access, use of household facilities, and phone accommodations.

 

The nanny is not required to remain in the home during off-duty hours.

 

 

* No pets

* Daytime guests are permitted

* No male visitors

* Overnight guests require prior permission from the family

 

* 3–5+ years of professional childcare experience

* Previous live-in nanny experience preferred, but not required

* Valid driver's license and good driving record

* Positive, responsible, respectful, and dependable

* Comfortable with occasional schedule changes, weekend coverage, and overnights

* Strong communication and organizational skills

* Spanish-speaking is a plus

 

Because this is a live-in position, **working hours and off-duty hours will be clearly defined in advance**. Once the nanny's scheduled shift ends, she will be considered off duty and will not be responsible for childcare or household duties unless additional coverage has been agreed upon.
