Experienced FT Nanny for Infant and Toddler in Alameda

Start: mid-October

A family relocating from Las Vegas to Alameda are seeking a full-time nanny for their two children, ages 3-months and 3-years old (their toddler will be in preschool full time). Responsibilities include engaging in play, supporting the children’s social-emotional development, planning activities, children’s laundry, preparing bottles and nutritious kid-friendly meals, light tidying, and light pet care for their small dogs.

The best person for them is flexible to stay later as needed (both parents work and have demanding schedules), is comfortable working in a multigenerational household, and has extensive infant (0-12 months) experience.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• English fluency
• Mandarin or Tagalog fluency nice to have

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + current on the booster/willing to update
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family will likely be able to provide a household car, if not they will reimburse for mileage and provide car seats)
• Extensive infant (0–12 month) experience
• Comfortable working in multi-generational household
• Comfortable administering meds to children
• Genuinely nurturing
• Prioritizes children’s safety
• Educational background (nice to have)
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable with dogs
• Can make a long-term commitment

Responsibilities

• Engaging in play and working on milestones
• Plan age-appropriate activities and outings focused on development
• Provide emotional and social support
• Prioritize safety
• Child laundry
• Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
• Preparing nutritious child-friendly meals (snacks, lunch)
• Light tidying (child’s room, play areas, common spaces, loading/unloading dishwasher, etc.)
• Light pet care (letting the dogs in/out to the backyard, filling water and food bowls)
