Family Syllabus: A warm and welcoming family of three on the Upper West Side of New York is searching for their perfect, long-term match! They have a 13-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son who both attend a private school from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday. Their daughter is bright, enjoys reading at a high level, writing, hanging out with her friends, and plays tennis. Their son is a total sweetheart, loves to talk, and enjoys playing tennis. Dad travels often for work, sometimes for months at a time. They’re looking for a flexible live-in nanny who can collaborate with their daytime nanny and father to provide excellent care for his children.

The nanny will work closely as part of a household team alongside a daytime nanny, collaborating to create a smooth, supportive, and consistent environment for the children. Responsibilities will include grocery shopping, preparing healthy and delicious meals and snacks for the children, assisting with homework, managing children’s laundry, and helping with light housekeeping to keep the home organized and running smoothly. A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine willingness to pitch in wherever needed are essential. Someone who believes no job is too big or too small and takes pride in being a true team player will be an excellent fit for this family.

Previous experience working with families in New York City is required. Mandarin-speaking skills would be a wonderful bonus, but are not required. Job Synopsis: Duties related to this position will include getting the children up and ready for the day, taking the children to and from school and other activities, grocery shopping, cleaning the children’s play areas, taking care of the children’s laundry, organizing, and homework. Duties will also include preparing simple meals for the children. This is a live-in position and the nanny will have their own private bedroom and bathroom. The schedule for this position will be five or six days per week with a guarantee of 40 hours, and the nanny will be responsible for the children overnight. The father would like the nanny to be open to a flexible schedule as his work schedule changes. The current nanny, who you will collaborate with, is very flexible and supportive as well. The family travels to Reinbeck, NY, often for visits and holidays with the children’s Godmother, and they would prefer the nanny to come along. The rate for this role is from $40 to $45/hour gross with benefits such as paid vacation, holidays and sick days.

Vaccination Requirements: This family would like standard immunizations.
