EXPERIENCED AND COMPASSIONATE NCS NEEDED FOR FIRST-TIME PARENTS IN PEPPER PIKE, OH

Location: Pepper Pike, OH, 44124

Children: Newborn due in January

Compensation: $45-$50/hr

Schedule: 14-week contract, 50-60 guaranteed hrs/week. Sunday night through Friday morning from 8:00 pm to 8:00 AM or 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, depending on the candidate.

Start Date: Mid-January, 2027

A reserved and nurturing family is seeking a highly experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support their family as they welcome their first child in January 2027. 

The family is looking for someone knowledgeable and compassionate who is willing to patiently teach them best practices for caring for a newborn as they gain experience. They also seek an NCS who has worked with first-time parents before and can empathize with them, understanding their needs and concerns.

These first time parents are excited to welcome their baby and would love to partner with a highly experienced NCS who can bring a calm, knowledgeable presence to the early weeks at home. They are looking for someone who can confidently support newborn care, help establish routines, and share guidance along the way as they settle into this new chapter as a family.

They value discreet, patient, and mature individuals who can work independently while remaining respectful of the family’s boundaries and needs. The role calls for a reliable, knowledgeable, and proactive professional who will communicate clearly and openly. They will bring a calm and warm presence paired with confidence and efficiency.

As a family, they enjoy going on walks or hikes, cooking, and playing board games. They also have a friendly dog who’s part of their crew.

Their ideal candidate is calm, observant, and attentive, with the confidence to take the lead in all aspects of overnight care. They should be comfortable working independently while creating a calm, consistent environment for the baby. The ideal candidate can clearly explain their recommendations and approach while remaining collaborative, respectful of the parents’ preferences, and confident in their professional expertise.

Daily Rhythm: 

The NCS will manage all newborn related care, including feeding, sleep support, diapering, soothing, and establishing early routines. They will communicate with parents about the baby’s needs, patterns, progress, and recommendations. The NCS will also be a thoughtful and reassuring resource for the parents, offering reassurance while remaining respectful of the family’s routines, preferences,  and parenting approach.

Overnight responsibilities will also include bottle preparation, feeding, bottle cleaning, baby laundry, and light baby related tidying during appropriate overnight periods.

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of professional newborn care experience
• Recent newborn experience
• Certified Newborn Care Specialist
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
• Pet friendly. The family has an Olde English Bulldogge.
