Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant | Coconut Grove, FL

A warm, active young family in Coconut Grove is seeking an experienced, proactive Nanny / Family Assistant for their three boys: twin 5.5-year-olds and a 3.5-year-old. This is a full-time, live-out position in a fun, high-energy household and is best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys swimming, outdoor play, travel, and keeping up with energetic young children. The Family is looking for someone who can balance being warm, playful, and engaging with maintaining structure, boundaries, and authority. More than anything, the Family is hoping to find someone who is interested in becoming a trusted, long-term part of their household and family life. They value someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with the children, takes pride in helping the household run smoothly, and feels comfortable becoming part of the rhythm of family life. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and proactive, and is comfortable working independently without requiring significant day-to-day direction.

The anticipated schedule is four weekdays from approximately 1:00 PM–8:00 PM, plus one weekend day, generally Saturday from 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week. Some evenings may run later depending on the Parents’ schedules, and flexibility is important. During the summer, the Family travels for approximately three months, including time in Europe and Northern Michigan. The schedule shifts during extended travel to provide longer blocks of consecutive working days and time off. Occasional overnight coverage is also required when both Parents travel without the children.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive after-school and weekend care for three boys
• Drive children from school, sports, appointments, playdates, and activities
• Plan and participate in active, age-appropriate play, sports, swimming, outdoor activities, and outings
• Maintain structure, routines, and age-appropriate expectations
• Assist with children’s laundry, closets, bedrooms, play spaces, packing, and general organization
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children and assist with family meal preparation as needed
• Support family-assistant and household tasks, including errands, grocery shopping, returns, restocking, and travel preparation
• Provide basic care for the Family’s Goldendoodle when needed
• Travel with the Family during extended summer travel and other domestic or international trips as needed
• Provide occasional overnight coverage when the Parents travel together
• Maintain proactive communication with the Parents regarding schedules, activities, household needs, and the children’s well-being

Desired Qualifications

• Experienced and confident managing multiple young children, ideally in a high-energy household
• Warm, playful, and engaging while able to maintain structure, boundaries, and authority
• Highly organized, dependable, and proactive
• Strong communicator with an independent working style
• Comfortable balancing childcare with family-assistant responsibilities
• Background in early childhood education, teaching, or child development is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable with dogs
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods
• Interested in a long-term role and becoming a trusted part of the Family

Requirements

• Must be a capable and confident swimmer
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Safe, reliable personal vehicle and current automobile insurance
• Comfortable transporting children and using the Family’s car seats
• Valid U.S. passport
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain/renew
• Full legal authorization to work in the United States
• Strong, verifiable professional references
